But not all hongkies hate this words, but you better dont say 'Da Bao' as 'take away' food in HK. They prefer 帶走'Dai Zau' or 拎走 'Ling Zau'.

i remember my first visit to Beijing,Shanghai and Taiwan, i was so excited because everybody speak the same language--mandarin.

if u wan use mandarin use mandarin, if you wan use cantonese use cantonese, if you know both and other person only know one, don't be an assface and use the one that the person knows.

How long di no go HK?

what "dai zau" or "ling zau"
you made them up?

they will ask "lek zau" take-away
or "noi-sek" eat-in

Now they use "hang kai"

eg:
tong nai cha, hang kai! (or lek zau).
teh-ais, tapao/jalan-jalan


btw: gua go HK twice a month okay,.
