free Silver membership--in the xbox guide it stated tht xbox user can multiplayer on certain weekend..wht does tht mean? does it mean we cn multiplayer on saturdy/sunday only?

if microsoft feel that they have too much money they'll give the silver member the same features as the gold member for a SHORT PERIOD ONLY(1-2 days)

better get gold membership if u want to play online, early dlc content,etc

Gold for one year = about RM15 per month. Put it this way coz so many people say its expensive for one year Gold subscription. Considered cheap as there are many things u can do online.

My 1st Xbox360 was modded.... (I never thought of online gaming at all)
at the time, what was in my mind was "Cheap Cheap Cheap..."

In my experience of having modded, everytime Microsoft comes up with the game that must patch, you have to PAY RM100-150 to upgrade your modded Xbox to support your latest Pirated Games... otherwise, you cannot play latest pirated game, if your console is not patched.... (That sucks)

3 months later, I hooked up my Xbox360 modded on the internet, regardless of the risk... and found out that Xbox360 online, was "What I want..."

Sold my Xbox360 modded and bought Xbox360 Original from Gamer's Hideout Tropicana City.... I asked 100 questions from Lavender (Yes, she answers my questions promptly) about XBOX Live...

I officially own Xbox360 for more than a year now. It's the best decision I ever made. I never knew online gaming on console has evolved this good till I own Genuine Xbox360.

Conclusion, go for Genuine Xbox360. I hate myself for getting modded Xbox360. The subscription & the games, you paid for, is the best! I use 256kbps Streamyx connection, and Games like Split Seconds, is lossless lag. (No Lag)

but u still able to update ofline via USB flash disk bro..

at least for dasboard version.

about online (for modded chip), it could be safe if u played on january-agustus. so your chance to play online..its still 60-70% safe

because from what i heard.. the microsoft's banned wave almost held in sept-dec.

just to share something...

recently i took my xbox hdd (with all latest updates frm ori xbox) and plug into my fren's modded xbox

immediately it asked for update, but i cancel it, and it went into dashboard

then i tried to launch some games, then the same message appears again, asking me to apply the updates, but i refused and it return me to the dashboard. It seems the latest update with the HDD doesn't allowed me to launch any games from diff console without applying the updates

Didn't dare to apply the updates, as i fear it might banned my fren's console & corrupt my HDD

buy 2 of them( mod & unmod)

mod for testing purpose and sparepart...also test games before u buy ori one
