Yesterday I read Asia-Pasific Broadcasting (APB) Dec 2010, circulation.
On the front page there are few articles related to Malaysia's next-gen TV broadcasting. This time they will integrate WiMAX too. FYI, RTM still doing the DVB-T testing since some years ago, and I am enjoying it very much. Especially, I can records P. Ramlee's films in better resolution (704x576) MPEG-TS video and 48kHz@192kbps MP3 sound format smile.gif using Pinnacle Hybrid TV Pro USB Stick (PCTV 340e). Not to mentioned, I also enjoying listening to Klasik Nasional broadcast in digital stream too... smile.gif

I know, Malaysia is quite late in the Digital TV brodcasting ... but, hopefully it can improved quicker.

YTL will sell setop box for the reception..I am looking for DVB-T built-in HDTV in Malaysia... but, unfortunately... nothing.. Or I jiist can to get DVB-T module for my current HDTV (Toshiba Regza 42ZV600E) and installed it myself ? smile.gif

Here the same article in their website.

The terrestrial digital TV broadcast is using normal UHF frequencies (650 MHz, 658 MHz, 666 MHz and 674 MHz) which currently can be received around Lembah Kelang. I successfully received DVB-T signal in Bandar Sri Damansara, Balakonng and near UKM Bangi. The other one is WiMAX most probably in some sort of IP video multicast .

Thank you.

If YTL start TV service, that means we can watch TV programme on laptop every where we go (in hotel, on train, travel in express bus, in car on the Highway) a long as there is YES Wimax coverage. An the picture quality will be in Digitally clear rclxms.gif rclxms.gif rclxms.gif
YTL claim that they are going to provide wimax coverage from Bukit Kayu Hitam in the North all the way to Johor Bahru in the South along the N-S highway.
