Anyone going? intend to gather a group of lovers around in Malaysia who want to participate LIVE in Zepp Tokyo~

Source: Mikupa 2011

Further Updates for my Mikupa trip:

Air Ticket: Checked

Mikupa Ticket: Checked (having a hard time to get this, and it never comes cheap)

VISA: Done (From certain aspect, this one harder to obtain than Mikupa Ticket)

Above those three has to be done in certain timing manners, else will end up in Bad Ending either way.

AIR TICKET

Due to some funny random promotion package offered in Msia, normally the first step you do is to secure a two-way dirt-cheap tickets to Tokyo. I asked my fren who staying at foreign country such as Indon, they cant get the same dirt cheap price in their country, although same from AirAsia.

How cheap is dirt cheap?
Comparison:
MAS priced RM3000+
AirAsia promo package: RM1000 (might can get cheaper, so far I check this is the cheapest)

See the difference?

VISA

This one is really TRICKY, considered I am quite LUCKY, I able to get it after my first attempt. doh.gif doh.gif doh.gif

How to get it?:

1. Check on the Embassy of Japan Website, Downlaod the VISA form, Download the travel ititenery form, and check which type of visitor you going to be at Japan.

2. Follow STRICTLY and get all the documents mentioned from the website
note: STRICTLY means, you CAN'T use your PASSPORT PHOTO for VISA APPLICATION FORM, you must go to take another new sets of photos at Photographing Shop, cause Japan VISA got its own format for photograph, normally the photographer will ask you what purpose, which country you are going, but just in case they din ask, you have to tell them it is for JAPAN VISA and the its format.

3. Form-filling: This is the most tricky part, depending on personal situation. The officer will directly reject your form without even process on it if you do not fill up all the fields in the form.

My first attempt after queuing up, was rejected badly due to empty field at "dependent's address", "hotel address", and "dependent info"

This means, when you intend to solo to Japan, you got to have friends over there to act as your guarantor, otherwise I not sure there is another way to fill up those fields if you don't.

4. MIN. AMT of Money(hidden): Although they said no minimum amount of money needed inside your bank account, but after I called them personally, they said it is RM6K at least.

5. Employer's Letter: This the KEY item for increasing your chance of getting VISA, virtually 0% chance of success if you do not include this item for application. It can guarantee better than your words, not to overstay illegally in Japan. Depend on the type of Organization you're in, either issued by HR dept, or your direct BOSS.

I witnessed with my own eyes in Japan Embassy, there are so many applicant was rejected cause of various issues, the atmosphere there is quite tense and made me keep re-check my attachments for VISA application.

Last but not least, MIKUPA TICKET!!~~

My experience:

First lottery for the early-bird ticket: Failed

2nd lottery: missed the timing

3rd lottery: Failed

General Sales: Failed, ticket sold out within minutes after general sales started(I was late by merely half an hour after the sales start, wrong timing to Tokyo's timezone)

Yahoo Auction Japan: Attempted during JAN, failed miserably due to fierce competition for first 3 rows of audience stands. Final bid price that time is RM1800 - RM2000 per ticket (10 times the original price, RM200++)

That time I decided to put the ticket auctioning on hold while get my VISA done, one of my net friend given up for getting the tickets due to DIVINE price of the auction bids.

I was like half-way to give up too cause it seems impossible to get it, even though budget is not a problem for me. It is that HARD/impossible to get even though you got money.

Sparks of hope lit me up again when my VISA to Japan is granted, I thought, why not fighting it for my main purpose of this trip to the fullest?? Since budget is not a big issue for me.

Thus, thanks to my friend in Japan (She helped me a tons!!~~), Finally, grabbed the auction bids, paid the amount, and ticket is on the way for me to collect.

From this incident/event/trip, I learned a lot of things by doing it myself and with my friend's aid.

For TL; DR users:

Although not RM1800-RM2000, but my ticket does not come cheap, at least X times than original price.

I see, wow quite a no. of trolling and spamming around in my topic. Din expect much troll in /AS though.

Oh come on, if really want to compare between concerts, there will be no end of these all.

Everybody got their own idol and went for concerts, so just stop comparing and trolling with those pointless example k?

Furthermore, not everyone go to the concert purely just for the idol thingy though.

Well round trip air tickets booked with dirt cheap price, VISA application should be done on next month, and the status of getting concert ticket?

Status: Booked mine on e-plus website, it is lottery-based, to ensure all fans have the fair chance for pre-sale ticket, 5 Jan the lottery close and 7 Jan result will be out.

In order to get the ticket with least oversea hassle, you will need a friend who know Japanese, staying in Japan, badly. I owe my friend big this time.

am back from the LIVE concert,

The only bad thing, is the crappy 30 mins bombardment of advertisement repititvely.

For the remainders of the concert, I enjoyed till the end though...

they said it is caused by some sort of technical failure, but it is not looking good cause 30 mins for catching breath from fast-paced song list is too long, I would prefer 15 - 20 mins...

Nevertheless, the song list is fabulous. Not sure how the camera work sucks as described from reviewers, but I gotta say, the LIVE atmosphere is very good, and now it feel like it is made for LIVE audience instead of online-viewers due to crappy camera works(claimed by some other ppl)

The last scene, when miku shed her tears and stop singing, the crowd went lost control totally to her emotions... Nice job 5pb, it is very WELL-DONE, of course other parts of emotion display their superbs too...

Oh btw, I am the first one to yell "ENCORE" after the "fake ending" to bring up the crowd. LOL

Two things I regret not to do for concert:

1. The camera work is so near to the audience, and I should bring a board with some glow writings to state some sort of message: " I come from Malaysia and I LOVE MIKU!!"

2. Bought 20++ glow sticks and form a pic of Hachune Miku, since the glow sticks price was never an issue to me.

Phew!! Finally got time to update about my experience from MIKUPA further~

About the MIKUPA review done at SanCom site, I can feel that the author is quite jelly for not able to see it LIVE or just plain IGNORANT about the situation and factors.

Please note that MIKUPA on LIVE is way too different from MIKUPA STREAMING LIVE.

After reading such an one-sided review, I dled the online streaming version and have a look:

it is way too different to feel the TRUE atmosphere of MIKUPA

Most of the complains I bet is come from NND subscriber or those who follow the bombarding after viewing such low quality video.

They mention:

Transparent screen VS Full HD: For LIVE audience last year 39day, they did really complain about the glaring issues on the angle of projection, even that tech also not able to let all the audience see the FULL 3D, this year quality is way better than previous in term of pixel handling. In some scene, with correct angle, the 3D feel of FULL HD even better than the glass screen.

In LIVE, the exact high grade of 3D feel doesnt matter for me, it is the pace and the smoothness of the modelling can deliver matters. Many online viewer din notice, the PACE + MUSIC + Chereography is well done for constructing the LIVE feel.

30 mins intermission(LIVE vs NND): Of course for a viewer 30 mins of waiting and finding other things to kill this dang time is a pain in the @$$, but they won't know that, for such a FAST-PACE LIVE event, audience shook their hands till very tired and yet continue on, the intermission resting time is actually good for resting our arms. BUT, 30 mins is way too long, if 5pb decided the failure of the 30 mins session faster and shorten it to 10-15 mins, it would be the best resting time or LIVE audience. Well, haters gonna hate, after all NND is way too different with LIVE.

Looks like dubbing song only: this is the crappiest comment I ever came through;
39day: Most of the songs copied the PDiva dancing style
MIKUPA: Most of the songs got own unique chereographed dancing style + audience interaction gestures
Now see who is the one slacking? 5pb or SEGA?

Why those NND din notice all the PROS? such as, interaction gesture with audience, vocaloids' facial expression and "emotions" when singing the song, the audience reaction and loudness of cheering?

Only one factor can concludes all the above: crappiest camera for video shooting, and crappiest sound recording to actual almost perfect audio experience KILL the NND experience.

Pity for those NND subscriber or LQ video viewer.

On the other side, 5pb have to improve the AV recording and FAIL SAFE plan just in case to prevent the worse case which is 30 mins intermission time. I suppose the AV quality is affecting the CD/DVD/Blu-Ray sales right?

But in term of the content of let the audience experience fully with the Vocaloids, WELL-DONE 5pb.

JELLY OVER 9000!!!!!!!! laugh.gif

But well, you have my respect for actually managed to go, even after so many set backs in obtaining the tickets. Kudos!
Even I just followed the online stream, I can't help myself to be immersed in the concert. Its not without its flaws tho (Blardy intermission and screen) but seeing Miku, just makes me forget about it. And I seriously shed my tears during Uta ni Katachi Ha Nai Keredo and When The First Love Ended played. Gotta say that both of them is among my all time favourite songs laugh.gif *If only they played Jenga, I can die happily...LOL*

Anyway, again, congrats on being able to see it live. And I'm sure the emotion ran high there too nod.gif

p/s: Planning for 2012 39's Giving Day already? laugh.gif brows.gif

Thanks for the feedback!!

If you feel touched by only seeing NND, then you will in the heaven during LIVE. No joke.

Actually if I able to grab a couple of tickets during general sale instead of auction, I can actually belanja you the ticket if I know your passion + get ready for the flight but not able to get the ticket.

btw, here is the proof of my existence, I will post more if my fren can send me the photo after recovering the pace from the Japan Earthquake:

green fan club coat FTW!

It is called "Happi" coat, its origin is very long time ago. Now commonly worn in any festival/matsuri, either traditionally or modern ones, but the hair band has evolved to show the fan have enough "love" for the event~~
