you just brought it without a week? take back go shop, complain about it, call him let you test same model mouse wheel.

If your mouse wheel sounds weird or does not work as you intended. better you just abuse the frigging wheel until it patah itself, and straight go swap a new one.

Wow..... "Nice" advise you got there. Never though you are this kind of end-user. You are seller yourself, what do you think if u know your buyer will treat your product like this? Spank your "mechanical K/B" then ask for new replacement? rolleyes.gif

Between the buyer get the G400 from me. the G400 scroll wheel is indeed a bit rigid = hard compare to other mouse. If need swapping, can PM me for arrangement. But I already try it with another unit, it's the same. You just need to get used to it

I'm sorry, but as from the point of my saying, "Abuse" means constant using, i do not mean "throw to wall, smack it, wack it or damaging it"

In my view, if a Wheel is already faulty in the first place, why don't you use it constantly to see if it breaks easily? if it's not, consider it's passed the abusing test.

No offense, but i do face some RMA problem over my Modem in my local area shop, I send the modem back to where i purchase it in Taiping store.
The TP link Modem PPPoE failed, only Bridging works for connect to internet. but Shop claims the modem is working properly and can connect to internet with bridge. In the phone i kept argue-ing with him that they should test PPPoE auto connection, they kept claim no problem. I was so pissed up and went to their shop again and test the connection infront of their face. Then they send back for RMA.

Seller offers 7 days for 1 to 1 swap. It's for buyers to fully test the mouse and confirm to have no problem with it. Not "feeling weird, maybe i should have RMA it"
If Buyers failed to fully test the mouse and fail to confirm mouse has no problem. it will be buyers responsibility that they failed to check the mouse.

And by the way, if "feeling weird" to be able to qualify for RMA, won't you be very busy everyday? if you manage to handle 5 customers that "feel weird when using",
Or repeatingly report to you "feel weird when using", and buyer keeps claim it has problem, while the mouse clearly aren't faulty and in good condition, how will you handle it?
If a Product do have issue, like wheel begin not to function after 1~2 days of constant using and the wheel failed, you send back to RMA, reseller/retailer check it, confirm problem, Won't RMA be less fuss to handle?, and avoiding "buyer and seller" argue over it?

What i suggest it's for both seller and buyer to protect their own interest, saving courier fee, and less misunderstanding between both side.
Unit Failed, send to RMA, plain and simple.

Just a friendly advice to buyer, Anyone that purchase any kind of product which is in a box, please check the cosmetic for any signs of mouse has been used, or didn't assemble properly. If there's a signs of it, put back the box, report the problem, and don't use it.
I face this problem when i receive a brand new M8000X. you guys want the pictures of the product when i receive them? i think i still keep them.

Just got my self the G110 and G500. (Second hand since June 2011) Really awesome price + I received a free SteelSeries QCK mousepad which is the hugest mousepad i've ever seen.

I've played with them for about 10 minutes only. Will use it more when i build my rig. Perhaps later at 10am or so.

Used the G500 on my netbook without any installation of drivers so i cannot comment on its performance. What I did notice is that the scroll wheel kind of sucks. Middle clicking is a task. Do it wrong and you'd be clicking the middle click left or right button. Must be really precise to get the middle click button to register the actual middle click.

I thought it was a defect but further reading around lead me to believe that it is a production issue. Read it over on gizmodo as well.

Side buttons requires real accuracy to click as well since there are a number of buttons clumped up together and having fat thumbs, i am sadly out of luck. The same is reported on gizmodo. Oh well, time to get used to it. It feels really comfortable though.

Well my friend, "abuse" is not the right word to use. It never meant to describe "constant using"

You should advise affected user to conduct further "testing" or "inspection" for this case to conclude anything

Source: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Abuse

"Abuse is the improper usage or treatment for a bad purpose, often to unfairly or improperly gain benefit. Abuse can come in many forms, such as: physical or verbal maltreatment, injury, sexual assault, violation, rape, unjust practices; wrongful practice or custom; offense; crime, or otherwise verbal aggression.[1]

Using the mouse for the past few days on my rig. Actually i got used to the middle click. So its working comfortably right now. The side buttons are abit shoddy but not that big a deal. I rarely use them anyways.

Love both the keyboard and the mouse though.

I was thinking of trying to buy from Logitech, but it seems that they don't sell parts directly outside of US-- and waiting weeks for a receiver to ship, not to mention all the costs in USD? No way. Any forumers here from Subang area willing to sell a spare receiver then? COD only. Or do local M'sian resellers sell receivers too?

i'm proud to say i'm using it  biggrin.gif

though take note that, the first one i bought got problem wif few of the keys - no response when click at...
and i have only use it for few months only...

took it for RMA and they change a brand new one for me after a couple of weeks iinm...
the new one so far so good....has been few months past...

thing i like about this kb - wireless and doesnt require usb recharge.
just place it once in a while near my room window for sunlight charge when i go out for work... thumbup.gif
*
As I know, no need to expose it directly under sunlight, as long as you've got lighting in your room (of course everyone got tongue.gif) then you are good to go.
Is it correct? I don't know the actual situation, all learned it from youtube review.
