kastam detained my item！

I bought a helmet at usa, and shipped by usps,
now my helmet detained by kastam! I has go klia pos yesterday to take my helmet. but they dont give me. they need PERMIT IMPORT!!! I dont know how to apply this permit, can any tell me how?  This post has been edited by fxhunter: Dec 29 2010, 01:59 AM |

You need to send a few sample to SIRIM and pay them to test. If passed their tests only u can import a helmet because under local law all helmets must have SIRIM seal. In other words ..... impossible lor.

I dont have sample for this helmet! how to send?

yeahh u need to send to SIRIM to test and they will approve ur imported helmet if meet their standard..and for sure gotta pay some fees and etc

not to worry, just go to MITI at jalan duta and clarify on this, no SIRIM needed as it is only 1 pc for personel use. Btw u have to pay 10% for the taxes...
