Theoretically, service tax is not shit. It's a fairer tax system whereby anyone who buy anything will be taxed. Whether you are a salary earner (hence can not escape personal tax) or hawker (making more money but pay no tax), everybody buy something so will get tax. So you can say service tax is fairer to the salary earner.

Ok,was just kidding...but 6% service tax,hopefully Astro improves their services too.

Its only FAIR when they reduce income tax correspondingly ! Now we are in a double whammy position, high income tax and shitty service tax as well

Opened the Astro bill enveloped yesterday.........darnm it got to pay BN government annual 6% government tax of RM173.88 Astro have 3 million subscriber base, lets say each account pay RM60 tax annually, that's RM180 million a year to the government coffer. Hopefully this money not used for useless spending such as having ANGKASAWAN NEGARA KEDUA.

anyway, we're not paying astro service tax all these while but paying income tax..now hv to pay income tax + gomen service tax..so how's tat fairer to tax payers..
