QUOTE(squall_12 @ Jul 20 2009, 11:26 PM) same issue like mine cant get dts sound using logitech z680 and philip usb sound card through coaxial cable....using ac3 filter... i just got it fixed ..now it works.. i previously installed the SRS audio thingy .. so i just uninstalled it and now it shows DTS Digital on my z5500.. perhaps it (SRS)messes up my realtek driver or something so happy now.. |

I currently using my built-in realtek soundcard with S/Pdif. Its works great for now. But i want to upgrade to something much much better.
anyone can recommend a good sound card from Creative for my z5500 . i watch mostly High Definition 720p/1080p Mkv.files with DTS and i'm also a hardcore gamer. Edit : Btw, i was just checking this Sound card. PCI-Express Xi-Fi titanium. Any opinion sifus? This post has been edited by Jimsee: Feb 3 2010, 05:38 PM |

QUOTE(busbos @ Feb 4 2010, 12:31 PM) well, i'm using a digital cable direct S/pdif to realtek onbard. For movies with DTS its sounds great. Games wise , its sounds not so good for analog 5.1 or stereo. i THINK my Z5500 can do better with a good sound card for movies. and games of coz. any suggestions? QUOTE(busbos @ Feb 4 2010, 06:25 PM) where to find the cable?it's different from optical cable right? digital and optical cable is the same.. i use it mostly for watching movies coz they provide DTS surround sound by passing through Spdif..not to mention the crisp and clarity.. i think soundblaster is good enough no? im not sure coz im not really an audio expert As i said, gaming wise is not really good coz its sounds so muffled through my Analog 5.1. ( not spdif) i've been thinking of a Asus XOnar D2x soundcard.. This post has been edited by Jimsee: Feb 5 2010, 12:38 PM |

QUOTE(zy_xcup @ Feb 24 2010, 09:48 PM) Hi guys, if you use it for watching movies/bluray & games, u won't be disappointed with it. just want to ask, is it Z5500 good enough to use as home theater speaker? I wanna to hook it up with my ps3 and my viewning are is about 10ft x 12ft. Bad thing about z5500 is that they do not provide a speaker stand for the rear speaker. I suggest you hook up the rear speakers on the wall, about 5-7 feet high to create a surround sound ambience. Again, its up to each individual taste. (Tips : Your ear is your best friend ) And finally, don't blame me if ur neigbour report you to police Here's the complete Z5500 review link http://reviews.cnet.com/pc-speakers/z-5500...7-31115626.html |
