hi all, I'm currently using the external Creative 24-bit LIVE soundcard just to use the optical bypass to my z-5500. Problem is, I cant seem to get EAX when gaming. How do I get this EAX? also, my new motherboard got those orange, yellow ,green port so if I decided to use analog connection, how do i connect them to my z-5500? As I know all the satelite speakers all connected to the Subwoofer right? Then how to use those analog port?

Yesterday I tried to play around with the hidden features, changing to second skin, display firmware etc. Now I the Direct 6 channel option is not functioning. I tried to press the "Input" button to change to Direct 6 CH, but all it display is "Stereo1" "Stereo2" and "stereo3". Press further it display "Optical" and "Coax" then back to "Stereo 1,2,3" . Unable to get "Direct 6 channel" .

right now, im using the logitech z5500 as my speaker. im considering to get a new high-end soundcard like the Xonar DX2. if i get this soundcard, and use this souncard to decode sound to my z5500 will my z5500 be bottleneck? do i need to get a new speaker to fully unleash the potential of the Xonar? or is it better to get a HTiB around Rm800? my primary usage is for computer music, games, and movies from computerr.

Don't think there will be much difference by upgrading high end $$$ sound card.
Z5500 is the limitation, let Z5500 decode digital optical signal will do. For the price, we cant demand much from Z5500,
If you'r really serious on sound quality, go for proper home theater system like yammy, onkyo or marantz.  rclxms.gif

So you suggest if I go for a rm800 soundcard better go for a home theater amp? I saw one yamaha only rm700.. but problem is amp is cheap but speakers+cable is not. So my options are limited, what soundcard enough to unleash the potential of z5500?
