is there a recommended brand for pop flash diffuser?
i'm using d3100+di622 for off camera flash. hence, the di622 is in slave mode and it is triggered by my pop flash.
i want to soften the harsh flash from the pop up.

Added on December 28, 2010, 11:14 amor should i just DIY with cheap materials ..like cloth ..hehe. any recomendation?

at first i didnt check it. but after 4 days getting my d3100, i alrdy used 1.7k shutter counts. haha. so excited to get my first dslr.
not sure what is my shutter count now though...been 3 weeks since.
*and the shutter count for my first picture snap is 3. hehe. weeeee. maybe the first 2 snaps were from the factory for QA purposes.

i think the live view & video also contributed to the shutter counts too?

QUOTE(aldosoesilo @ Jan 5 2011, 03:01 PM)
meaning AF-S with come together with G
while most of D lens doesn't come with AF-S?
and D lens can't get auto focus in Nikon entry level line up?
is that true?

guys anyone join this http://football.nikon-asia.com/brief.php?
*

from nikon usa site http://www.nikonusa.com/Learn-And-Explore/...ype-NIKKOR.html :

"G-type NIKKOR lenses have no aperture control ring and are intended for use on Nikon D-SLRs that allow the lens aperture to be adjusted via the camera's command dial.
In addition, like D-type NIKKORS, G-type optics relay subject-to-camera distance information to Nikon digital SLRs. The information is used to help determine ambient and flash exposure."

Another info here too (explains a whole lot about nikkor lens notations like ED, VR, DX, N, G, D, Micro, AF-S, etc) http://www.nikonusa.com/Learn-And-Explore/...ens-Barrel.html :
"Finally, we end with the letter G, which indicates that the lens has an electronic diaphragm control, meaning that the f/stop is set from the camera. On older NIKKORS you may see the letter D, and that means distance information is factored into the metering process. These days all NIKKORS have distance encoders, so you won't see D on new NIKKOR lenses—only G.

hehe. u'll just get urself flamed with such a purchase ... tongue.gif. i mean, to me ...buying something without knowing there's a cheaper solution but with a purpose is still ok.
just hearing u said, "dont even know the purpose of buying it" makes me wonder, why did u buy it then? ur fren poison so much kah? tongue.gif
*luckily u didnt buy sb-700 and then only ask what's the purpose ..hehe. joking!

i just bought nissin 622 mark ii oso. i like it so far, though i wud love to opt for speedlight series in the future.
anyway, i think once u get to know more about photography, u'll learn that u'll find it useful. (and please let urself exposed to flash usage)

i mean like sports photos though it's unedited but at least straighten/crop, simple, basic stuffs.   ohmy.gif
there's no added advantage of telling us it's unedited.

You might want to try some polarizing filter?
For your last 2 picture of overexposed and underexposed, seems like you're facing the common problems. You can try using the polarizing filter or combine the 2 picture into HDR.
*
yeah, my lenses only have nikon UV filter that time. any filter that u recommend? my fren had a cpl filter at the shooting. should have tried that.
i'll trying the hdr too. thanks for the comments andy214.
