When you are watching any program on Astro, some codes will appear frequently on the screen for a few seconds before its gone.

Mainly:
DIP1; GCA2; LJD3 etc..

Anyone can explain what those codes means?

I guess is the code in order to watch astro....not really sure.

Satellite codes I think

authorisation codes. means ur astro card is legit

I think SiriuslyCold should be giving the correct answer. Normally home account shouldn't be used on the business premises as for business purpose, Astro charge based on per channel subscription and type of business. I also noticed business subscription don't have such code. Instead, it have a square white box at one of the corner. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Also, I didn't notice the code on the Byond box as far as I can remember when I'm back home.

Card cloning still available and working? I thought that's history long time ago. I only know server card share available currently..

Long time no see that kind of code after changing to Byond...

Every subscriber smartcard has different set of code. Usually, Astro will "send" the command from AABC at the primetime (8pm-10pm)... And thus, automatically all of Astro user (except Byond) will see the 3 set of code on their screen...

I heard in another forum, they said that code are used to detect the user who record the Astro program and distribute if "illegally" using TV Card, DVD-Recorder and upload it into Youtube, Megaupload, Torrent etc....

I'm sure the people who do that would have the sense to censor that code first

all i know is if using clone card... u get every channel available including da box office 1, AOD n all la

This only those without astro byond, ie for old decoder only? Understand Astro byond can't do it.
