QUOTE(RiuK3n @ Dec 27 2010, 01:41 AM) This is the first time i seen this white dots.. it looks like dust... have u tried wiping the lens? And btw N8 doesn't work well at night but add in flash it should be better... not worst... Maybe sifu aspire can explain more.. he's the best in photography here For general use i just use auto + vivid based on sifu aspire's recommendation lol dun worry about the white dots! it's the fake snows on the glasses behind the snowman XD lol about the flash.. erm im not sure... if everything use defaulted setting + flash at night.. is it better?

Depends... Certain conditions better, some isn't Best if u can take pic without flash... It's all about practicing using the settings For example this was taken at icity using only exposure -2 » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « This is with flash This is without flash Some of my pics taken there with flash is terrible

QUOTE(kuai_chai @ Dec 27 2010, 02:25 AM) hmm it's hard to tell wat goes wrong.. but im suspecting my hands are shaky.... as riuken have said.. bcoz sometimes it's clear.... sometimes it's not..... but when using flash, the images goes worst.... it has some white 'shadow' in the pictures taken.. lol Added on December 27, 2010, 1:27 amfor example, wat is wrong with this pic? » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « hmm.. maybe u can guide me on which setting i should use to take a normal good quality pic... with/without flash? i noticed most of the time the flashes are causing the image to have 'white shadow' in it... lol wat iso? wat type of scene is best use for general photo shooting? You mean the whole picture actually come out to have these "White contrast" thingy? It may be caused by your fingers reflecting some light to the lens itself and there you get that white constrasted picture. And yes it will significantly decrease the quality of the picture. Try not to get in the way of the flash , that will do. This post has been edited by freakenstein: Dec 27 2010, 05:50 AM

I have heard that 1st batch of N8 has MOBO problem. Any steps to check whether mine is effected, curious to know it too.

Try take two shots for us daylight 1 and another is like the photo u posted. It could even be the reflection of the glass reflecting back too.
