I got frustrated with the dog's barking sound from the neighbour. It made me cannot sleep at midnight. Should I complaint to Muncipal Council or confront to them or just keep silent?

If I report to Muncipal Council, they will not known who does this action but will guess the neighbours surrounding them.

If I confront to them but they refuse to do anything, later on if I report to Muncipal Council, they will know is my act.

If I keep silent, I suffered.

Any comment or advise from all Sifu if you are me in this situation.

Don't know is a corrent place for this topic or not. Anyway, thank for any suggestion.

1st confront them 1st. i guess they also sufferin d same thing u r havin?? giv them 3days to stop d barking. if no action been taken.report to Muncipal Council.

revenge wat?? their dog r noisy n they need to understand their neighbour concern as well...

u can go police station n do a writings (forgot call wat). say i was threaten by my neightbour bla bla bla... so if anything happen to u, the police will find them..

You should confront your neighbour first to settle the 'barking' issue.

It's unpredictable to what has been done to get the dog to bark non-stop.

If you report to municipal council, they will capture the dog and then put them to sleep which is very cruel.

I suggest that you report to SPCA and when they come and check on this, they probably will know what the problem is with the dog. The dog might have been abused by the owner or the owner did not feed it enough etc.

Dogs have feelings too.

I wouldn't say confront, but let your neighbour know nicely that his dog have been disturbing peace of the neighbourhood. Give them some time to remedy the situation as well, they are not Dr. Dolittle, so they need to try and error to find out what is the thing that's making the dog feeling insecure.

i would say giv them a deadline.

Have you tried speaking to them nicely about it? They could feel really bad about it as well or are in the process of taking measures to prevent their neighbours from being disturbed

That's exactly the same problem I faced last time. I simply couldn't stand dogs' smell and bark. My new neighbours (tenants) had 3 dogs and they simply barked for nothing. I complained to them but the situation was not improved. In the end I wrote to local council and my neighbours were summoned. They knew -I was the one who lodged the complaint. Fortunately the tenants had moved out and my 6-month nightmare stopped.

Some people tend to be selfish in their conduct even though his is a Christian. I just don't know what is his feeling when he pray to Jesus.

hi morning Not sure if i can ask u an advise on this regarding my neighbour dog there is 3 dog in single storey house its been 3 years the dog been barking non stop to people pass by their house or even us back to our home .it's also non stop barking by day and night.

the owner seems not really care it and they seems fine with it even when it's barking to little kids . seems no vaccination or license for 3 doggo. one seems leg got problem. but the barking sound really cause some distress to Me n family. what should we do ? thanks

Yes it's every minutes every hour also non stop barking each time got people pass by my house also its Bark. Even we come back home also barking follow his own mood. It's been three years its being here impossible didn't recognize us right . We also did nothing to it. The dog feel so proud when it barking all people. And the owner also like nothing and alright with the 3 dog condition like this. Coz the son is going out working left the sick uncle at home with the dog . Cannot care much the dog also . Headache with this kind Condition.

Do what you think is right and talk nicely to the neighbours. Try finding a solution in 2 ways, 1 by your own action and 2 by help of others. I myself have doggo and he does bark sometimes in the middle of the night. I try to check up on him when he does that. Usually there is some small animals. Rat, squirrels or cat nearby. If can I will chase them away and he will stop barking or bring hime inside the house so, don't see, don't bark. But on certain times, it is those howling bark... that one will be difficult. Usually he is EMO, so usually comfort him with same milk or snack. But this takes longer time.

Anyway, just let your neighbours knows politely, at least you do your first step.

Update i did talk to my neighbour daugther nicely and ask also they inform the opposite uncle son dog very noisy. Answer i get is they say is just an puppy i need to bear with it the mom dogs noise.
Things didnot get improved also as the both dog noise getting loud and louder and saw me or any people pass by own house keep barking louder and louder like gila already. Im not sure this is under category animal abuse or neglacted .As they not bother to check why it barking also just help its clean is poo and give eat else close door and let it barking whole day.
Im very stress in my own house this is coming 4 years already yet no improvement.

Check with local municipal on their guideline to own pets. Usually owning dogs requires license, and some requires neighbour's consent. Those pets without license can be impounded and put down.

Most municipals have complaint hotline or channel, but they may or may not act on the complaint. Can write in to say your household has children or old folks who need rest. Some people write in to say they have sickness and cannot withstand the noise or unhygienic neighbour.

Can approach local resident association or political representative for help.

Thanks for your reply however problem is my house dun have old folks and children just I feel stress with daily barking since 3 years already day and night or whenever we back to home it's also barking loud the owner are okay with it. .I'm very sure they dun have license to have it coz they never bring it out from house also . And the dog don't have proper training and more and more louder barking each day. I did write an email with kebajikan haiwan veterinarian however they ask me refer to majlis perbandaran.Which I dunno contact who in cheras kl area.

Very headache with sudden barking sometimes.

1. Google DBKL hotline or DBKL aduan for the tel no.
2. Write to DBKL (commissioner=mayor?)
3. Contact Unit Kawalan Pencemaran, Bhg Alam Sekitar, Jabatan Kesihatan Dan Alam Sekitar DBKL - but they may only action is sound decible measured exceed the guideline
4. Contact local political representative (google the party's office or tel.)
5. Go to court
