Black Ops = smooth
Bad Company 2 = laggy as f***

As I've mentioned b4,

Black Ops is a weird game

Low graphics = lag
Max graphics = smooth

what? blink.gif

I never had any problems the others were complaining. (except for the once-in-blue-moon random freeze)

Yes, mine's ori.

Black ops is different story lo bro...
my COD4 & MW2 runs @ 80-100fps
while WaW & BO runs @ 30-50, at worst 10-20 for BO or even worst, freeeeze ~

I feel that Treyarch didnt optimize their coding properly, first few month of release only keep fix the "technical issues" only  shakehead.gif

Me and a friend of mine had different system, mine is Intel while his is AMD. Back when I had the Pentium D, I play MW2 smoothly without much problem while he will crash every now and then.

However, in BO, it's the opposite. I will lag +crash like hell while his run smoothly with some crash. Treyarch hates Intel ah ? shakehead.gif It's only after I have a new system BO stop being annoying..... until it crashes with dx9 error.... who puts synch as default setting anyway=c=""

I saw your post at BC2 thread. If I remember correctly, the formula is:

<your network ping> x 2) + 66ms for physics/events = in-game scoreboard ping

ISP issue?

Possibly.

But why the lag in MBT/Fragnetics server only? I can get decent pings to Taiwan/Japan.

EDIT:
Heck, I can get lower ping to US east coast in BO than Singapore in BC2.

Whoa serious? I'm using Pentium D too and yes only Treyarch-produced COD give such problem, maybe they really hold grudge against Intel after all hmm.gif

And last night was fun, joined a server with [TH] tag, assuming everyone from Thailand because we all get almost equal ping lol (150-200)
Now thats called fair-fight tongue.gif

BFC2 needs a higher requirement PC to play compared to Black Ops which is built on DX9 platform smile.gif

Higher? Maybe slightly, at least it doesn't randomly crash like BO. Also, both are originally coded on DX9

The official BO requirements is higher than BC2.

Someone is not doing their optimisation right.

Normally people will play with DX10 or DX11 mode as compared to DX9.

Yes but that's the minimum. If you're talking about proper playable requirements, the BC2 would require more since people prefer DX10/DX11 modes. I mean it's pretty pointless to compare which one handles better with the lousiest hardware since it doesn't reflect most player's expectations.

Freezing is normal. Crashing is also normal. Welcome to BlackOps.
