hello sifus..
as you guys suggested before, i use one co2 tablet everyday instead of half, but the tablets left white residue. currently working on diy co2

to replace the tablets. lfs selling glass diffuser for rm30, gonna get that. plants are growing ok i guess
looking for new light tubes then can plant more hc/hairgrass.
but now theres this white slimy/hairy thingy starts to appear all over.

what is it? how can i remove it? currently just siphon it out during water change but it keep coming back.
as for the light, the closest lfs here doesnt have higher watt light thats compatible to mine, this is what i have
11w aqua zonic (black)
8w (no brand, white)

i will go and check at east aqua ikano, close to where i work. i have no idea what these light tubes are called, anyone can tell me so its easier to find/ask the shop.
i had 2 cherry shrimp, one dead straightaway become meal to the fish. few days after that, the other one dead. should i remove or just leave it there for the fish?
i have one badis badis, was doing fine for a week, now look very sick and about to die also i assume..

now just left with 2 pink fish, forgot the name.
the sad tank. 23 liter, 11w+8w light 10hours, 1 co2 tablet daily, temp 26, 2 x 30% water change weekly, no other chemicals except antichlorine.

help..
IMO I think your light is not bright enough. And second your plants are too few and sparse, my suggestion buy a bunch and let it grow and trim. IMO it's best to cover at least 30-40 percent of your tank.
My plants must have gotten used to the water condition and it's growing new branches.
And my plants are surviving on Co2 tablets only.
At the moment, I throw in once a day and on my light for 6-8 hours a day evening till morning about 1-2am.
FYI I don't change the water so often because mine is 2 1/2 feet tank.
I change about 20 days once.
Last time I have small tank, every week I change once.
