QUOTE(Namgor2006 @ Apr 18 2011, 07:13 PM) I've kept cory before... but my cory only last for 3 mths after buying. i hope you don't have the intention of scaring meI bought another 4 corydoras again, and the same thing happen. Is that different types of cory need different water condition? I actually kept albino cory & green cory before @,@ |

QUOTE(SweetPuff @ Apr 19 2011, 11:24 AM) Cories are not difficult to keep. Just need to ensure proper water conditions and tank setup before you add them into the tank: thanks. i was thinking of puttting a fleet of cories with my guppies and sailfin molly.1. If new setup, just need to ensure your aquarium is properly cycled. 2. The regular cheap 'black sand' found in most LFS are not safe for cories. They're too sharp and will hurt the cories' mouth and barbles. 3. Need to at least have an aquarium fan and proper filtration. When setting up a new aquarium, budget will always be tight, but I tend to prioritize the tank and filter. If get cheaper tank, also can, but having a thin glass tank makes it easier to crack. Some good sites to read about cories: http://scotcat.com/home.htm http://www.planetcatfish.com Need to pay attention to the cories' barbles (aka misai) at the mouth. If you can seem to see it, then very likely they won't live long liao. my tank are conditioned, but i am having doubt whether it would survive in the tank as i have those 'giant' guppies. |

agree. but the guppies are very greedy , it will attack pellets whether it's floating or on the bottom of tank.
