the salts ill evaporate and ull find the floors sticky ? haha

if u already have tank filter and lights i guess itll be cheaper.. just need to invest in co2 tank soil plants and hardscape.

witout co2 sure no prob. just that plant choices will be limited.

tank - rm50+- for a god 2feet.
filter - EJET canisters would cost rm150
co2 - full set would set u back rm300+- if ur lucky can get cheaper
soil - would need a bag 9L ADA soil rm88
Lights - diy? below rm100
plants - rm50 up to you
wood/rock - rm50 - 100 up to u

do the math lah.

it leaks at the gauge and regulator fitting. no washer there

its business la. i can understand if they mark up price. if market price suppose to be rmXX then pay rmXX. if others sell cheaper good lar and buy from them lar.

i dont blame them for high prices also. planted tank community very small. people buy soil once every few years. ive been in the hobby for about 3 yeaRs and bought only 2Bags. thats why businessman hafto raise price abit lor.

if extra rm10 - 15 then ok la. kasi them makan la. cuz to get rm80 price hafto travel extra kilometers to other lfs. might as well pay extram rm10 frm the shop infront your hse oni.

if they raise rm30 - 40 then i mogok liao.

Salt all over the tank and lamp and basically everywhere. In a long run I think it will destroy my LCD and other electronic gadgets. Haha..
Well I spend whole day last week to DIY a cover with minimum air leakage with vent pulling the air out side. Somehow it worked.
The salt is a major issue. New 2.5 feet tank on the way. Going to collect it this evening. I'm still deciding of having a planted tank thou. But, "EMILY : Planted tank is so boring". Now aku pening kepala dah. Haha.. She forgot to log out when she use my browser. Haha.. Marine tank is so hard to maintain somehow. My LED light above the tank started to oxidized. =x

2.5ft tank need how many kg of sand? also how much is the co2 refill say a small 5 liter tank? Rm300+- inclusive of all other co2 equipment like the bubble counter and stuff? Eh, when you free jom la teman me to the shop and buy. I'm not good in planted tank. =x

5 liter is a small tank? then my 0.5 liter tank how tiny? hahahaha 5liter im sure its rm20 in sg besi. mine refilled at rm10!

rm300++ can find but itll be big. u can get regulators below rm100 and the tank at about rm200. another rm50 for tubes buble counter and all.

internship season tak free. plus i look damn short standing next to you sad.gif

get a very thick styrofoam. and jam tank into the styrofoam lor..

or cut slids on the styrofoam so u can fit your rims into the sytorfoam
