Lighting: 24 x 4 T5HO (96W).

So you were the lucky one...  I was after that deal also...

I don't think the stands are sold separately though, but you can try asking the LFS boss to order it for you, or contact advance reef directly which is the distributer for dymax whether you can get the spare part.

Err... You want to change the lightbulb only or the whole set??? Cause you cannot simply change the lightbulb to higher watts I think, you need to check whether the balast can support it or not...

IME it might be because of the light spectrum of the lightbulb, 6000K lights will look a bit less bright and yellowish, while 6500K will look very bright and whitish in color. I compared my T8 lights before, (RM3.50) 6000K with (RM9.90) 6500K and have since bought (RM9.90) 6500K since, I also change the default 55w PLL that comes with the 2ft aquazonic lighting with 6500K 55w PLL I bought from lighting shop for the same reason with the T8. Just my honest opinion...

oxburg - Tank is custom made. Light is Katana 2.5ft (changed 2 original bulb to giesemann bulb)

If you have the man power to manage the heavy lifting of your tank with all the hardscape and flora inside you can try keeping the scape and moving the whole tank...   Then you'll be more expert then me...

Others have experience moving whole aquascape, especially for competitions like what they did during aquafair last year. But I don't know how they did it...

You won't be the first one to do that cause I read it before somewhere, but IMHO you will need to consider the nitrate build up from the roting roots and whether your tank can handle it or not, especially if you've got sensitive species in your tank such as CRS.

And make sure you cut deep enough or the plant will just regrow from whats left of itself...

Kill them, to me they are a useless bunch %$&£. Killed my neon tetras and green cories they did...

i mean if u view it from the cut end, it's green (or is it all glasses like that?) some i saw is black..

one oto died today, came back last night saw that fella had a full belly, big and round, i thought he had a big meal. today found dead at the bottom, further investigation reveals that the poor thing swallowed the black soil! is it common? does it ever happen to you guys?
