lol uncle unknown warrior.
not sure about his consequences but what I liked about his thinking is that, 100 cardinals really is just 'normal' in a 3footer. let alone my 4footer. gasp. So when people shudder at the numbers have to see la what are his needs and etc. I've helped someone in Penang stock 500 cardinal tetras before for his 8feet iwagumi. Look okay nia . lol!
But youre right on one thing. 3footer and all only shrimps? weh.. need o? lol! But I doubt it.. if he's breeding he wont have such a mix lol.

Well, to see a big enough fish that can uproot plants in lets say a 3footer just isnt aesthetically pleasing though. Just My opinion. Unless youre into arowanas and all that. Only bottom dwellers like loaches and certain plecos would still stay small and would uproot plants.. Shrimps like the el cheap ghost shrimps are also uprooters.. the low maintenance plant for you should be anubias sp nana "petite". super low maintenance . and small and pleasing to the eye. I am not so sure about the rules of 'planted tank' as I am more used to the rules of 'Aquascaping' already.. So aesthetic values comes to play a big role after practicality . So we just keep fishes that looks nice in our tanks. or suitable or ones that fit into our tanks. Just my opinion here. Not taking every post as a challenge lol.

It depends really. what kind of scape do you wish to achieve?
It can range from just rm 400 to rm 1k. depending on the stuff you would buy/ need.

How long is your photo period and how frequent do you water change? and How much you water change?
How big is the tank, what fishes are in there.
What are your lights, what are your c02 dosing method.
And finally, what are you dosing.
Cheers

only amano eats algae efficiently. Cherries come in second place..
Get some SAes to assist getting rid of those hair algae.

SAE and otto would target different kind of algae but also have some in common.
For e.g. BBA Only SAE, amanos i dont think so. otto confirm wont touch
Hair Algae SAE prefer, otto wont touch much, amano would also makan this
GSA Otto...SAe also makan but otto more efficient.
Brown algae All favourite LOL
get me?
ADA reseeding methods are just bacter 100 Green Bacter etc. ( theres another liquid bacteria thing they have. forgot the name)
for budget issue, things like JBL Denitrol or any other beneficial bacteria seeding works as well.

Friend, where got people test their impellers when dry 1..
Drew
Added on January 12, 2011, 6:17 pmIf its noisy when wet or in function, then you might have a case, now that you have tested it dry, theres a pretty good chance you screwed it over. Either the impeller of the shaft itself.
Well for better or worst, if you do send it back to the LFS or to the eheim distributor. Dont tell them that you test runned it dry. This isnt exactly MIC HOBs.. They even have it in their warming booklet to NOT test run it dry... so..
Cheers.

a crack at the impeller shaft or the entire case itself? If its the crack from the entire case itself, you can bargain from the LFS if you just bought this. They would give you a brand new one and send this one back as a product fault. If you already have this for quite some time... Well. Depends really FOC or charge nia
