I wonder what is the average price range to start a planted tank say for 2 ft tank? Is there any planted tank without co2? How about the maintenance?

I had enough of marine tank and will consider having a planted tank once I move back to Damansara. Cause I really dont like to have a marine tank in my small room. Kenot tahan the salt.. =x

the salts ill evaporate and ull find the floors sticky ? haha

if u already have tank filter and lights i guess itll be cheaper.. just need to invest in co2 tank soil plants and hardscape.

witout co2 sure no prob. just that plant choices will be limited.

tank - rm50+- for a god 2feet.
filter - EJET canisters would cost rm150
co2 - full set would set u back rm300+- if ur lucky can get cheaper
soil - would need a bag 9L ADA soil rm88
Lights - diy? below rm100
plants - rm50 up to you
wood/rock - rm50 - 100 up to u

do the math lah.

using ur emily's account to troll ah hahahahahahahah

go sungai besi. rm10. takes 2minutes to refill. sounds far. but its not far really.
huh?
2 minutes to refill? how many litres of ur co2?
for 2 litres, it usually takes 2 hours for refill for RM20 at EA.
does the person who helps u fully refill or just half only?

it's hard to believe LOL

those LFS refill by transferring the CO2 from their bigger tank higher pressure to your smaller tank which dont have pressure. So they take longer time to refill. While those specialised in refilling CO2 have a compressor to help in refilling without even need to wait.

what LFS told me was, need time to allowed the tank to cool off after every refill..correct me if im wrong

i mean LFS will allowed the tank to cool off and then refill again the CO2,LFS cant refill 1 shot like how those fire extinguisher shop do. Warm gas inside your tank have energy bounce again each other, which will prevent them to be compressed therefore need to let them cool down and further refill more gas to compressed.

its like you boiling a water, when the water is heated and the atom have enough energy to knock against each other,so there will be evaporation. if a cold water there is no energy and the atom are arrange very pack together so they will refill more gas to compress.

lolz, well i found out is the same for me... i still get same psi even the directly refill...

i even hear some hobbies said some LFS put in refrigerator to chill it and after that just pump the co2 in (refill) in order to compress more content...
but i found out this is kinda ridiculous...
my co2 tank 4.5 kg 1000 psi can use 1 year ++ with 24 hour 2 bps/sec cost RM20 for refill... damn cheap... doesnt matter how much co2 i have in a tank as long as they refill it to full will do haha

I agree with freestyler
If by cooling the tank can make you input more gas, then you will get higher pressure
Those tank that we using has standard psi to avoid accidents
I think that LFS got no idea what he talking about
