with right condition and sufficient light it should grow fast... if you want it grow slow... just lower down your co2, please take note... algae will attack haha!

Algea is common for glosso
I had remove all glosso when doing rescape
Now playing with HC smile.gif

done already. my 45cm tank got 10 gallon i use t5 16w x 2. i think should be enough.
my co2 control 2 bps. wait 2 more weeks. japanese hair grass also look nice though

tyja,
for a newbie try glosso or hair grass 1st... hc is kinda demanding... they need cold temp + high light + high co2 ( excel abit they will happy ) for fast growth

Echinodorus tenellus or Sagittaria subulata are good beginner carpet plants for those with medium lighting or less. S subulata needs at least 3ft tank, if you plan for it to be in the foreground.

Whenever you choose a tank, try to get those with thicker glasses. I prefer my plants to be in the tank than on the living room floor tongue.gif

Can, but not optimal. Neon tetras do better in more acidic water. If aquarium is small, some fin nipping might occur.

I used to keep guppy and tetras in same tank.
They can live tgt. But if you plan to breed guppy, then can't put tetras
They will eat baby guppy once they are born sad.gif

who know how to use paintball co2 tank for aquascape. as i know the thread size not same as conventional co2 tank as we use.
