I put a new application in /Apps Folder QuickSSHD_2.0.3.apk.
QuickSSHd, using the dropbear sshd (SSH Daemon), is an easy to use SSH server for the Android platform. This allows a computer to connect to the Android device for remote access or file transfer. Similar to "Terminal Emulator" or "adb shell" but over a wireless network using encryption to prevent eavesdropping. An SSH server also provides scp (secure copy) and SFTP (Secure File Transfer Protocol). There are many clients available for such services, some recommendations are: Cyberduck SFTP client Mac Cyberduck - Open Source, graphical SFTP/SCP Windows WinSCP - Open Source, graphical, SFTP/SCP PuTTY Linux openssh - The most popular SSH implementation Authentication can be done either by password, which is stored encrypted on the phone for your protection, or through the standard SSH shared public key method. Root is optional, non-root users are limited to ports < 1024 and the QuickSSHd application user, which CAN read and write to the SD Card.
