Added on January 12, 2011, 3:06 amIm uploading a new I5500 Froyo Moded
This version has a few startup tweaks and busybox and the powersave fixed
Thats it, if it works you can use is as a stable release, but i need someone to test it so i know that it worked

Please someone test it so i can move on, thanks
Next test will be ext2 file system instead of samsung`s rfs, but it need this test first

Besides the modded samsung version, inside the firmware i created a beta folder
Im uploading 2 versions.
1 Is with the moddified kernel hopefuuly fixed that supports multitouch (maybe)
The other is with ext2 as filesystem (actually yaffs2)
If possible please test both and give me a feedback, together, all will create a freeaking owsome build for our phone
Will take about 1 hour to be sent

Added on January 12, 2011, 9:04 amI request from any good samaritan to record a video of the version working
Since my device is still at the repair i cant know how its doing smile.gif

There are 3 versions
2 Are beta:
- Kernel mod with maybe multitouch
- file system changed to a better and faster one

The Other is a improved samsung package, you can use it, aparently it works very well
Remember to backup your stuff and do a wipe data after flashing

Thanks

Hey. back from zzzzzzzzz mode
How is it holding so far?
Guys i have decide to put on hold the kernel and filesystem modifications, without my cellphone its hard to debug whats going wrong. Maybe i can release another version for testing, but for now i think the best way is to improve the samsung build
Im glad the battery is now working the way it should so now its time to really customize!

Since i have access to the system, i can add and remove programs, edit configurations and stuff like that, i would like to create some kind of wish list from everyone so i can put in the build
You can ask for anything even something farr away that can only be done with cyanogen
After the request type a simple reason
The best way i see is to everytime you add to the wish list, you copy the previous one

Example, i right multitouch, the next person rights multitouch and ext2 filessytem, and so on
so here is my part:

1- Change and remove touchwiz launcher to Zeam launcher - touchwiz is crap
2- Multi-touch - multitouch owns
3- Gingerbread - ginger owns
4- Change and remove samsungs rfs filesystem - rfs is crap
5- Remove layar - layar is crap
6- Remove smokewallpaper - doesnt work

See you all in a bit smile.gif

Ok, we use the forum for updates
But for developers IRC has to be used, its easier multiplatform and i like it smile.gif
To use ir, you have 2 ways.
1- Install a irc client and connecto to freenode under channel #gti5500
2- Enter via webchat, same channel #gti500 (http://webchat.freenode.net/)
Im in there already wink.gif

No setcpu required, runs perfect
I think setcpu inst very friendly with our phone
