If the iPad2 is launched in Feb/Mar, it will take another 3-4 months before Malaysia will finally have it. After that, another 1-2 months to get your unit because of stock shortages. I think this is somewhat the usual phenomena for iPhone/iPad. By the time you get yours, perhaps Aug/Sept?

After that you will say there will be iPad3 soon (in 6 months time) so when will you ever buy the iPad?

I think no home button in ipad 2

Home button should still be around, you'll need it to Stop an App. Just that the double press on home to go to Multi-tasking is not required any more. Gizmodo is test the the new iOS4.3 beta only, not the new iPad.

So many hot rumors (most will be true) for iPad 2 in the past few weeks. Here is a summary of the things that matters to those who plan to get one or upgrade:

1. Will be lighter and a bit slimmer (flat back design following the iPhone 4)
2. Will have back camera (likely be 5megapixel) and a front facing camera (for Facetime).

I've no idea as to whether Apple is becoming a benchmark to show who is rich and who is not rich. I personally owned a few apple products and they are of course great to use but I believe other gadgets in the market currently also gets the job done. It's just two different ways of doing a job that eventually lead to the same result.

here's my prediction :
1. free 3G (starting from RM1548, not like now)
2. SD card slot.
3. design change (perhaps flat back, no one knows yet.
4. front facing camera (already leaked out, check tuaw.com)
5. lower price? US$449 ?

So the new rumors is announce late of feb and start shipping march. But the rear camera only 1.3 megapixel ?? Pls don't ......

There is something about the iPad that the competitors can never beat apple...its iTune store. It is the iTune store that makes apple product especially the iphone and the iPad such a huge success.

Millions of apps in one place! Other pads can claim better hardware but what good is hardware without great software.

There's yet a solid speculation about the iPad2 yet, so we have to wait till the 2nd of March in order to confirm about the screen resolution. At the moment what we read in the web is just some rumours or based on some tech expertise speculations.
