Hmm...I actually wanted to use a matte screen protector but removed it cause it got in the way of playing movies...so I too wasted like RM40+...but not to worry...the SGS screen is pretty hardy (gorilla glass i think)...so u dont need to worry about scratching...and it's also oleophobic to a certain degree I think (oil resistant)...so u won't see as much smudges as you would with an ordinary screen...smudges wipe off clean with a specs cloth or a microfibre cloth...i dont regret removing my sp...lolz

I think if u can risk it...go for naked la...matte messes up the display a bit...I was so upset when I got the matte I ripped it off right away...clear was ok except that it had a lot of smudges (which is why i went matte)...then i realized...naked ain't so bad after all...those who can't stand seeing a SGS being manhandled...refrain from viewing this:

Guys...I've got a question...is it really worth it to do a root, lagfix and flash with custom ROM? Just curious cause I've read all over the place that it voids your warranty...the last time i tried to do a root and lagfix i panicked coz my phone couldn't start up again...the button combo didn't even work to enter recovery mode...lolz

Ok...flash it is! Lolz...I initially was interested in flashing because of the lagfix...but then touchwiz started to grow on me...especially since the froyo update kinda fixed some of the minor flaws i hated (like no vibrate for calendar alert). Hmm...to fix the three button combo problem, I'd have to bring it back to Samsung right?

Did you try turning on your wifi? Try going through menu button > settings > wireless and network > wifi settings...is wifi 'ticked' or turned on?
