for the 2nd test result..
the apps not working very well.. they still need to explore this and that..
Did 1 test from C to M. Seems fine to me though. Will monitor longer and see how.

The previous concept is of having to know the timestamp of sent and receive is no more necessary and has been replaced by new concept like the one I describe above. The concept of sms is once sent, it should delivered immediately to the receiver. So it is pointless to know the sent time anyway. There are cases where the recipient's phone is out of coverage and not off. Don't think you'll get the SMS notification on recipient's phone is off, right? And hence the message will arrive at recipient's side late. Hope you understand the importance of sent timestamp here.

Looks like Handcent also doesn't show actual sent time of messages. Hmm, since I am a paid user, I will post a suggestion to the Handcent people about this.
With the SMS timestamper, in the conversation list, Handcent is showing the correct sent timestamp. But if on the contact list, it's showing arrived timestamp.

Hi gajahwhite,
I deleted because no one seems to care or think this is NOT an issue for them.
So since it is issue only to me, I deleted it.
I will try to find the solution myself and not to spam this issue in this forum.
Cheers...
Danny
Don't give up, we noticed your message. I did a comparison against Nokia phone, didn't I?
Just that I never voiced this out when I found out about it some time ago. Was busy, hardly got time to read.

Ok. You got a point there. What I mean is sms shall be instantaneous sent&receive. But I am sure the sms timestamp is recorded somehow on the telco's server. It just not shown becoz this feature is not available. I check my sis ip4 sms is even simpler. No time sent or receive, just date. No details, nothing.
I once sent a sms to my friend ask to meet him at 10pm and maxis return a msg saying his phone is off. Tomorrow morning he replied me saying his phone out of battery, bla bla bla.... As a sender, once I know that his phone is off means he never see my msg, and the meeting is unconfirmed....

You can try "Delivery Report" next time.
