I hardly felt sorry for Kayneth and Sola-Ui. They weren't as much of saints as Kiritsugu. Using a gun on a priest? Hah, karma shoots back!

Lancer's death was regrettable, but I admit despite liking his chivalry, there are times his chivalry itself does get on my nerves. Again, Kiritsugu was right: all that shit about chivalry, honour, and nobility are nothing but hogwash, sugarcoat to mask the reality of the battlefield which sacrificed many idealistic young men in the process.

Makes sense why Saber is better off relegated as a fapping material to sell the series hurr durr

Kiritsugu pulled a psychological warfare on Kayneth. Yeah, it's an old trick, but nothing says effectiveness straight from the get-go than taking someone's wife hostage and then backstabbing both in the process through devious means. Both Kayneth and Sola-Ui deserved it. Sola-Ui threatening to break Kayneth's fingers so that she could have Lancer all by herself (despite the imperfect contract), and Kayneth shooting that old priest dude so no one else can have the command spells. Both are pure scumbags to me, and it's unfortunate (or laughable, depending on how you see it) Lancer had them as Masters.

Showing the wheelchair slowly coming to a stop was meant to represent Kayneth's death, but it actually made me more sad for literal reasons. I thought about the wheelchair, how Kayneth recently bought it. Maybe he was trying hard to cope with being crippled, and looking on the bright side of things. Sola let him look at a wheelchair catalog and he spent a while looking them over, trying to decide which one he liked best. Then when he finally got it, he took a seat and thought "hey, this is pretty comfy, what a nice purchase" with that snugly satisfied look you get on your face when you buy a nice piece of furniture or television. Miaya shoots the shit out of it, and it's all broken and battered, just like Kayneth, and even though he so recently had love for his wheelchair, all he could say was "kill me now, please." The wheelchair was left on the battlefield, forgotten, next to Kayneth's dead body.

Anyone else feel this way?
