I missed and didn't watch Fate/stay night, consider Fate/zero is prequel then would it spoil a lot to Fate/stay night?

By far, Fate/Zero is one of the most poorly animated series (or at least inaugural episodes) I have seen in a very long time. The characters stick out from the CG backgrounds like neon signs, not unlike the various freeze frames that litter visual novels. Most of the shots are either close-ups of faces, or zoomed out shots where the characters become generic, faceless figures.

The former requires only repetitive lip flap, the latter allows the animation team to just loop footage of the characters walking around. Even then, the walk cycles are stilted and unnatural, especially obvious in a scene where two characters shuffle around in a circle for what feels like an hour. If the animation cost more than $500 and a cup of coffee,

I'll be stunned. Hopefully now that the exposition episode is over (please?), the series will be more visually interesting to look at. Still, rambling dialogue is no excuse for lazy animation. In a scene where two characters are talking in a playground, the background shows children in the distance, frozen midst play.

My 1st impression of 1st ep. of Fate/Zero is pretty interesting. I am not into Type-Moon game/anime except for Fate universe.

Judging from the plot and the story of F/Z, reminds me of ToAru Index. And Saber in suit rocks.

^ Ufotable, what do you expect? Also, brace yourself for 3D character when the action starts rolling.

Pretty much as expected from the first episode, though I find it hard to believe anybody who didn't read F/SN to would ever find this particular episode enjoyable.

Looks like they took the cue from Shaft, lol.

The November issue of Kadokawa Shoten's Monthly Newtype magazine is reporting this Saturday that the Blu-ray Disc box release of the Fate/Zero anime series will have the "original edition" of episodes with scenes cut from the television broadcast. The Blu-ray Disc box release will be split between the two scheduled seasons of the anime; the first 13-episode season will air from October to December, and the second will start from episode #14 next April. The end of the Holy Grail War will be depicted in the anime in June.

Producer Atsuhiro Iwakami explained that the staff decided on the two-season split to maintain quality across the entire anime.

Director Ei Aoki (Hourou Musuko, Ga-Rei: Zero, Girls Bravo) and the studio ufotable are animating the prequel novel by Gen Urobuchi (Puella Magi Madoka Magica, Phantom - The Animation, Blassreiter) to Type-Moon's Fate/stay night visual novel software. The story is set a decade before Fate/stay night and reveals the 4th Holy Grail War that sets the stage for the war in the software.

As the anime airs in Japan, Aniplex is streaming each episode in eight different subtitled languages worldwide via the Niconico Live and Niconico Channel services for the first week. Crunchyroll will then stream each episode a week later in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, and New Zealand.
