Hi,

when my parents want to buy house and start to submit tax, they ask a tax agent to do these things for us. But now, after 6 years, LHDN comes and ask for receipt.

Since we have better knowledge about taxation than 6 years ago, we realized that, the agent declare irrelevant amounts on the insurance. RM6k +RM3k max relief.

Now the LHDN is chasing us for the penalty. What are we supposed to do? Can we sue the tax agent and ask for compensation? We paid a few thousands to them last time as fee and they make such a mistakes, making our life miserable!
