where's the page for the bb8520 community T_T

just traded my bb 8520 away for this 9300. loving the new os6.

yes agreed. somehow the trackpad for 9300 is not as smooth compared to 8520. others, its great. if only they improved the camera specs

dickson - does brighstar cover the warranty if my trackpad might be faulty? it works, but not smooth at all even though is at 7 or 8 or 9. i find it troublesome using it with my left hand. i had to use my fingertip and slide it up using my right hand.

how long will it take for them to repair it for me? they will only change the trackpad right?

i tried searching for the brightstar shop to do this. where is the nearest one? KL right?

yeah same here. if there's no updates from the desktop manager i usually wont download it. its safer to just let the DM to update the phone for u.

yeah i know. some ppl just feel safer to let the DM do the updates.. cause we're not really good and downloading it ourself..deleting the vendor file etc etc..

hmm usually i back up first, before i update..

dickson - brightstar said it'll take ONE month for it to be fixed. T_T they have to send back to singapore. omg

they told me they will give me a spare phone bb 8520.. i was shocked also when they told me 1 month. not sure if i should go ahead or should i wait a little while more? maybe during the time when they can fix for me quick without needing to send to singapore. my phone is only 3 months old.. still can claim anytime within the 18 months right?

hi,same here. well apparently its not the problem. curve 3g trackpad is different now compared to curve 8520. u have to use ur fingertip to scroll up. its just the way its designed. but if can buy another trackpad to replace this current one,i wouldnt mind.

yeah they had to reformat, so therefore you will get back the os5. but i updated it to os6, and installed all my apps again.

when you use your DM to downgrade, you can choose the version and tick on it. they will show the version type on ur DM

its not a problem at all. its just the way it is. u need to use your fingertip to scroll up. your thumbs won't really scroll up smoothly.

hmm you can download the latest version online, even with the one in the cd, you have to update that one first. so i suggest u just download straight from the internet. yes, use the Desktop manager to install it for you.

yeah must pay together. same with maxis and celcom,im sure. my current maxis plan is rm40 (bis service) + rm50 (family plan)..

btw i wanna ask, is it just me, or does anyone else think that curve 3g camera is better than 8520?

yeah u have to change your normal internet plan to BIS service.. both are different.. therefore you might need to pay more for the bis..

seriously? my pictures taken on my 3g is so much better than my 8520.. wouldnt be too sure.. could be the lighting position or something

u have to off your network service, then on ur wifi.

you mean with wifi? you'll know if u're using your wifi connection when u see the wifi logo grey/black and white..
