Hi All,

I am having an issue installing windows xp in my netbook which comes with a preinstalled windows 7. I am using a usb drive to do this, following this guide:

Now I am able to format my usb drive to enter the windows setup, yes. But.... when I am asked to select which partition to install windows, nothing is listed. Not even the partition where windows 7 is installed.

I have a stupid question, is it because there is no empty partition? But there are other partitions in the harddisk which are kept for recovery purposes etc. Why none of the partitions are being shown? Am I doing anything wrongly?

Thanks sifus!

I have formatted a HP Mini 210 before, there isnt an option to change the modes like i mentioned in my post.

Yes, I can confirm that too. No option to change it. I have already slipstreamed the driver. Now let's see if it works...

Guys, it doesn't work. Still not detecting my HDD. I installed the driver for NM10 which should be correct. But after selecting my usb drive as the source, instead of creating a new ISO, I just slipstreamed the driver in. Like that can ar?

It works now guys. Instead of directly slipping stream to my usb, I copied over the files to a local drive before slipping stream. It works after that.

Now I need to partition my harddisk.

Edit: Guys, I managed to enter the setup. After setup copies the files required for installation, it reboots and when setup starts, it says Access Denied, something about the access denied for the i386/asms folder. Any advice?
