 Installing Windows XP on HP Mini 210, Streamyx edition

Because your hard drive is set to SATA mode instead of IDE in the BIOS. Windows XP only recognizes a hard drive when its in IDE mode.
Windows Vista and above recognizes SATA mode so you wouldn't have the same issue if installing them.

As for how to solve your problem, in most BIOS, your able to change the mode the hard drive is configured to run in. Unfortunately your Mini doesn't have this option.
So you have to slipstream the SATA drivers (which can be downloaded from Intel ) in the XP installation image using nLite. Try to google this, you'll find guides all over biggrin.gif

I have formatted a HP Mini 210 before, there isnt an option to change the modes like i mentioned in my post. Made an error there with the "does"
