I downloaded latest FreeBSD (8.2)
Tried to install and enable the Kde4 by following instruction in
http://wiki.freebsd.org/KDE4/Install
but unsuccess ...
than tried to enable the gnome (by following instruction in
http://www.freebsd.org/gnome/docs/faq2.html#q1)
....this one ok
but the default installation is without firefox

(addition edit:) finally figured out how to install firefox
that is
cd /usr/ports/www/firefox
make install clean

(addition update:) but the above built firefox 3.6
so i downloaded firefox 6.0 from:
http://cvsweb.freebsd.org/ports/www/firefo...ar.gz?tarball=1
and install it into my freeBSD machine

Good for you!! Welcome to the land of good design, clean code and proper documentation, unlike some other operating systems (cough... Linux ... cough)
But a bit problem with my FreeBSD. (version 8.2)
If I use Transmission(torrent) software to download file.
after download about 680MB than the system say "no more diskspace" and it stop
although the harddisk is 250GB.

Well, first we need to narrow it down a bit. Have you tried downloading a file of similar size via another client, or http direct download.
Try that first. I you still get an error relaged to drive space, then we'll know for sure the problem is not Transmission. Also worth checking where Transmission puts your torrent files into..

Thanks for the suggestion, anyways i am now using another PC (Fedore 15) to download files.

My other question is: Is it safe to login as root in FreeBSD?
Will my FreeBSD get infected with rootkits? malware?
