Customized it with a Faenza Variants Cupertino icon + elementary Theme and even
Compiz's wobbly windows
Ive even changed the
font setting (making it smaller) and changed the
cursors to black instead of default white
Background can be changed using this method too
All you need to do is juz type this command @ Terminal :
CODE
sudo cp /usr/share/applications/gnome-appearance-properties.desktop /usr/share/gdm/autostart/LoginWindow
Then logout and tweak from there
Then login again and type :
CODE
sudo rm /usr/share/gdm/autostart/LoginWindow/gnome-appearance-properties.desktop
This will prevent the Appearance app from starting off everytime you login into your Ubuntu
*Dun forget to copy your background to this folder if u wanna change the login background
CODE
~/usr/share/backgrounds
Tested on
Ubuntu Maverick 10.10Might work on any os which is based on Ubuntu 10.10

Test @ ur own risk

Lol may I ask you something? Did you discover this on your own or you read an article or post about this somewhere. It's better if you give us the link to the source page if you read it from an article or something like that.
