if u can see ur sdcard content o u pc, then u are not suppose to see it on ur Astro (phone)...
and ur app stored on SD cannot be used while its mounted to ur PC

im definitely NOT a fanboy of this model, so i dont gives a rats ass to defend it in any way...
cos if i have the money, i'd consider buying a better phone (hadware wise)...
but so far, there's none in the market.....all thats availble is more expensive too (Desire, Galaxy S etc)...
so why bother spend more?? HTC may won the best firmware support last year, but XDA wins in my heart anytime(hehe)...

i spend the least, but i'm having the same fun with my X10 (on custom Froyo) just like any other Froyo user on a different phone brand...
so if u dont call that worth buying, than i dont know what is....

btw, X10 has the best picture quality compared to any others...

what pros n cons on hardware are you talking about?
if u heard of anyting bad, pls say it out..
it'll be easier for us to clarify....
but if you never heard or found it in google or anywhere else, i guess there's not much issues to talk about, would it??

just a note: if u want to buy one, to getting one thats preloaded with 2.1 firmware.. that way, you can rest assured ur getting a new set..
there are those still on 1.6 (out of the box), which means old stock...

latest 2.1 update , z4root wont work...
i suggest u learn how to use FlashTool 0.2.6 from xda..
it can do evryting... root, install xrecovery (very useful)..
once u know how to use xrecovery, its gonna be even better...
install a customised 2.1 or 2.2 rom, u wont be getting those Timescape and all other useless apps...

Heard that u can get this virus from an unofficial apks outside market, specially china. So be careful of wat apks u install .. Android market is safe so far, all of them has been screened...so no worries


Sgs n x10 has almost the same hware spec.. But i think sgs has a better display.. X10 is cheap tho..once d bootloader has been cracked , most likely its display can be improve as well to hndle more colors...
So which 1 do u think worth ur money? A very xpensive sgs with a good official rom, or a cheap x10 dat can only rely to xda developrs to cooked a custom roms.. And they are quite good so far..so not too worry much here

how u differentiate "SGS with SGA" should be d same when comparing an "x10 with SGA" too...

btw, most of us here is using custom 2.2 on our x10...
and thats a fact... only the video cannot take 720P HD.. but can still view HD videos with no issue (utube, mp4 files )

yup.. guaanteed...viewing has no issue...but taking video can only produce normal quality
need to install after market video apps..

XDA developers still havent found their way around the 720P HD video capturing yet...
it is codec issue...

once the new xperia Arc out on sale, XDA developers would probably ported its official 2.3 to x10, cracked the video n camera code and cooked a custom 2.3 rom for x10... even now x10 have unofficial 2.3, but still not that stable yet...
but this is purely my feeling, not a fact.... but with x10 low price tag, i can live with watever x10 is capable for now...
in my book, still worth my money spent.

after rooting, u shoudl be able to see SUPERUSER in ur list of app drawer....
if not, try again.. install busybox first and then xecovery (using flash tool while on phone is switched on and attached to usb mode)

*edited - sorry, forget bout xrecovery, its not related at all... just make sure got Supersuser...

or maybe ur trying to install n app from an unknown source?

upgrade via internet (SEPC Companion) should be able the give al dual touch function to the official 2.1 SE roms...
guaranteed the shop has no idea of what their doing...

all are based on Freex10 Beta4.... so its just the matter of versions by different modders...
anyway, i tried the standard Freex10 beta4, wolfbreak and rendeiro...
i like rendeiro's version much better..

what do u mean rearrange apps in drawer?
LP plus can hide apps that u dont want in ur drawer too, if thas what u meant....

for my case, its not... cos i tested with my wife's x10 battery, my phone problem still the same..
frequent reboot issue and sometime, phone hangs... need to take out battery and leave for 3-5minutes before putting the battery back...
to day i went LY Plaza, showed the supplier and they say they will try to repair...if it turns out to be beyond repair, they will replace a new phone totally cos they dont have spare parts.. now still waiting for results...

last time i send to shop i bought the phone, it was useless.. they did nothing.. after 2 weeks of waiting, phone still same condition...software not even reset...stupid..
finally decided to go directly to suppplier, settle...

Phone tranceiver, full warranty 1 year normally for AP..
i confirmed that with the supplier (Telstra).. same goes to screen...
only battery is 3 months standard....

for me, 2.1 is also good enuf.. at least u can rest assure evrything is working as expected on an Eclair...
btw, hav u tried JIT V2 and 3rd party Home Launcher? it'll boost up 2.1 performance

no need google ... all app2sd n links are at first page....
u cant bricked an x10, cos the bootloader is locked...worst come to worst, u need to flash the phone totally new...
my suggestion would be to root the phone 1st, which is entirely easy to do... then do xrecovery to do a full phone backup...
after that, u can play around with d phone.. whether u want to app2sd or modify rom bla bla bla...
if anything goes wrong, simply restore by xrecovery and the phone will be back to where it was before...
note that not all apps can support app2sd...

* i wonder what apps ur gf have until memory is almost full when she just got the phone... must be a lot of games and junks...does she really need that much apps??
btw, when she say memory is full, how low is the memory?? 500Mb internal RAM should be more than enough for 10-20 games and other apps...

logically, if its not active, it wont occupy your ram..

its been with supplier since tuesday...they acknowledge the problem..
they suspect its heatsink issue... but they say if cannot repair, they will replace with a new phone...
gonna give it til next week before i call them up to get updates...

the first 2 weeks was a waste of time... i send to shop.. and they send to an agent.. this agent send to supplier..
n the end, supplier tested for a few minutes and return the phone to shop cos they didnt find any problem..
maybe they just test so so only.. nothing was done to the phone.. no s/ware reset and stil got old warranty sticker....
so i took it back and went to supplier directly in Lowyat

Games from 2.1 to 2.2, should be no problem...u can restore both app+data....
but if for application, from 2.1 to 2.2, data restore is not advisable.. just do app restoration using titanium...

but if i were you, i'd reinstall the app fresh from market... i dont really see any need for titanium backup... just a waste of sdcard space... not inclusive of xrecovery full backup...that would mean even more memory space....
unless you have 100 over apps la... that would take some time to download... for me, i only have a few..so i normally sync with appbrain only
