hehe. i had the same problem before after trying to install kx10...
afterwhich, root n xrecovery seems impossible through the normal installation..
another forumer suggested to use flashtool..settle...

try chinese keyboard...
if u want to use the old method to sms....

my wife is using a flip casing by melko on her x10.. same like those iphone...
rm99 at lowyatt, only selected shop got stock and comes in black...

other than that, just those simple pouch and cheap lookin silicon...
hard to find accecories for this phone
i dont use any of it, just plain screen protecter..imho, casing spoils the sleek look of x10....

actually, i sometime use those slot in pouch whenever i dont have enough pocket... couple it together in one hand with my leather wallet

dual touch for x10 is not meant for keyboard..

now thats what i was looking for.. how much is dat and where did u bought it? flip casing is too bulky and hides evrything...

last i heard is somewhere around 500-800... the shop guy told me.. not sure true or not.. try claim for warranty, who knows....

mikee.. it says hardware video decoder works..
does dat mean videocam works? in 720p?

do linpack or quadrant test...
should read more than 30mflop and 7k+ for quadrant...
but it wont hurt if you redo jit v2....

guys.. i just realised... and i hope this is the actual cause for my annoying FC problem.. still more testing to be done
i notice that evrytime my phone force reboot, CPU usage goes to max(which is obvious)... but i couldnt figure out what was causing the spike....

and I just realised, its was due to my LauncherPro FB widget trying to do updates evry 15minutes... no wonder la i can play games for more than an hour in an airplane, cos i set the phone to flight mode and LP cannot do update!!

so the question is, is there any apps out there that can kill an app that hogs a cpu when it reaches a certain threshold?

are you using LP widgets for facebook? if so, can u monitor the cpu usage when this widget is doing n update?
from my careful observation (cheh, sound like a professor)...i was playin around with Google Earth, cpu shows 30-40%, then it hits 95-98% before it hang and reboot..and during that time, i believe its LP updating time...
when i reach home, im gonna try again disabling it and play NFS

luckily today i managed to download both his MIUI and cynogen 2.2...

ohh.. yeah.. cos some people was asking trip bout those missing gapps in his rom, then someone suggested to get it from zidhu..
maybe thats why his rom got stuffs from zidhu's collection

try sysmonitor by ndroidz software.. it can place an icon in ur notification tray so u can constantly monitor cpu usage while doing google earth....

if u seriously want to rely on SE official ROM ONLY, then u might want to check out other phones cos for now, it is stuck at 2.1...

other than that, it is as good as any phone that has similar hardware spec.. sometime even better..
quadrant test is similar to Galaxy S on 2.1... with some easy tweaks...

for a spec this good, if price is ur main concern, then X10 is the best choice... no issue with lag and touch screen so far..

put in a custom froyo from xda developer, im sure u'll be surprise....
good luck with ur choices...

u'll need to let the battery goes into a few full cycle first...3-5times...
which meas only recharge when its nearly empty and pull out the cable only when its fully charged.
after that, it should be ok..

but im sure all smartphone can hardly go beyond 24hours... unless its on standby and u switch off 2G/3G most of the time ...
but then whats the point in using one?

but if u google some more, im sure u'll find more tips to keep ur x10 battery life longer...

my current 2.1 says baseband = 2.0.49... does that mean it wont work correctly?

look for oneclickroot and JIT V2.. dat should help to boost up performance.

also, download LauncherPRO from market.. this 3rd party homescreen is much smoother than the standard one...

*first time install was a mess.. i forgot to install the gapps during xrecovery, my phone stuck at SE logo....took me 1 hour to recover to standard ROM..

just a tip.. make sure u flash to latest kernel and baseband 2.1.54 first using flashtool (0.2.6) http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=939812

then install beta4 and gapps together using xrecovery.. let it autoreboot a few times...thats should do it...

so far ok with baseband .54... network all fine...
wat else to test?

for beta4, u need to update to latest kernel and baseband (follow the link i provided earlier)
if not, the signal wont recognise....
but if u want to downgrade to your old rom again, u'll need to reflash to older ams.sin files from 2.1rom..

the thing dat looks like a camera at the front is a proximity sensor, not a front camera...
to detect whether ur holding the phone next to ur ear or not...

doin great.. im using the beta4+cynogen 1.2....
so far, no more FC becos i dismount my SDCard (just for testing pusposes to see if my SDcard really is faulty)
previously, with beta4 i had FC evry now and then... so i guess dismounting really did make a different...
furthermore, Froyo has app2sd set as default.. im gonna give it a few more days of testing...

it has.. but not sure if malaysia alrady hav it.... if u want, just flash from XDA .. thats what i did
