I have a 6600GT 128mb AGP video card.

It has DVI and VGA output slot (didnt say its DVI-D or DVI-D or DVI-A)

Going to buy a dell monitor with DVI-D (with HDCP) connector.

This one:

Will it work? Do I need an adapter? Will there be loss of quality?

and what about HDMI? Will it be the same?

even with vga, you hardly notice loss of quality, i bet you will be fine, in fact graphic card was used for producing image for your monitor anyway..
however you might (typically) have problem for gaming which is really low fps in native resolution because 6600gt are ancient already

I dont expect to play great jaw dropping games with this PC anyway, so it should be fine.

Yep, thats correct, dont look down on my cheapo old PC, its still good for older games, movies and downloading stuff. tongue.gif

Btw, I got 2 DVI-I connection on my 6600GT AGP.

Should work with DVI-D only monitor right?

and I would like to know if it will work with HDMI devices through the use of an converter?

Yes, HDMI will still work with a converter.

Wow, thanks, I was so worried about getting a monitor that wont even work with my old graphic card. Phew, thanks for the confirmation. biggrin.gif
