I got the same problem with my Sigma 24-70mm non APO as well. Keep back focusing like no tomorrow. Currently I'm still using it but in manual focus only. Uncle Chin shop also can arrange for servicing but he told me it will 4-5 weeks before I can get back my lens! I told him after CNY lor...... cool2.gif

joejoe2004: Backfocus? Or gear stripping (continuous, loud vibrating sound when mounting on camera.)

Both I may say...When mounted to body, gear stripping then it became silence. Back-focusing when you switch to auto. doh.gif

aaahhh..didn't tell earlier
i was contemplating ytd and now it's too late....

i thought it was going to be a not-so-interesting event since most of the other workshop are full except for a few like this
*
Even full also can go as long as you bring your gear. If it is Nex or SLT workshop, you can still go with yr A580 or the like. I quote from Sony trainer today. tongue.gif
Workshop is useful at least for me lah. Sometimes you need to unlearnt, to learn new things. Interesting or not, just go if you have time.

ya..mine is lucky shot..i cant think of any other ways to shoot that eagle with my slow telelens..jz burst it..thats the only way for me.. smile.gif

For me, any photo opportunity not control by you is considered lucky shoot. Simply because, you cannot get the same thing the next second. You never know what you'll get until you see the result. You may anticipate something out of it but it may bear something else that could be interesting or otherwise. I will spray & pray (SNP) for a subject that have different variations in a split second. Booth models, toys, product, etc....no need SNP lor.....just my 2cents.... sweat.gif

Guys anybody using Sigma APO 70-200mm F2.8 II EX DG MACRO HSM Lens & what you think about this lens?
*
I'm using one. So far so good and most of my pictures are taken from this lens. This lens is surprisingly sharp from f4 to f11. I have no problem with the IQ. I bought almost half the price from Sony G lens. No focus lock and it's not as sturdy as Sony's but it get the job done..... sweat.gif
