Wanna ask how many of u all own a softbox? Izzit feasible to buy 1 softbox because i think u need to have a empty space to do shooting and also need multiple flash. Why i ask so is because being poison by yesterday lighting workshop organize by Sony. I google around and can hv a full kit set arounf RM500-RM600 so not sure wanna buy it or not, pls advise.

Oh yaa. Those higher ends one use local AF.. Mine cheap one ma.. Have to go to Fn > AF poinnts > Press v 2 times > Select AF point > Press shutter. By that time subject also gone already.

Sorry.. I dont get this bro.. now mine is set to local AF (right point) what do i do next? I can change it to centre by pressing the center button.. What if i want to change the point to left side?my focus point is not flashing.. It just comes on when i focus.

codyx: when u read review on the tamron1750, most website is using nikon or the canon version which their camera required motorized lens. hence the Conventional motor is noisy.
on sony, we have body motor driven, so the sound is SAME across all any A mount lenses.

becareful when u read review, most review are not base on lenses for A mount which alpha has slightly diff approach. non VC 1750 on canon and nikon faces a lot handshake issue even with high iso on lowlight compare to sony with SSS.

This iz true mang. You buy everything, you end up losing. dont say you know a55 before owning it, yes, you might know. But what do you mean? Put it to auto mode and smap? That one i also know ma... trust me. until now i still havent mastered my manual yet. I've owned my cam for 10mnths. Seriously, i suggest you to get a55+kitlens, f42 since you want flash so much, any tripod, a proper camera bag, rechargable batteries, extra cam batteries.out of budget? What to do.. You wanted so many stuff.

you probably would not know what kind of photog you are yourself until you really experiment with all types of shooting most if not, listed above. and that takes time. a few months at least. most of us here are not even professionals so why do we limit ourselves to certain type of shooting? e.g. macro shooting? unless you are certain photog celebrity well known for particular shooting (Brian Smith for his portraiture works), you dont have to limit yourself to certain type of shooting.

Codyx, if you have the dough, i would say go add them lens into your drybox. the most important thing to learn photography is passion. the second most important you need is yes, you guessed it right, The Gear. there's no debate to this. for an example, if Joe has been wanting to play with fisheye, without a proper fishlens how the heck does he learn/play with fisheye style shooting?

why f20 cannot use it's lamp to focus in the video? izzit machine problem or this f20 cannot do so? f42 onwards got the red light to focus right? so f42/58 can focus in total darkness w/o pop out flash?
