QUOTE(Newbieeeeee @ Dec 22 2010, 12:01 AM) Ahh right. I dont get the first one. What do you mean by nikon system? if u use the PT-04S1, the Canon/Nikon counterpart is the PT04NE, which uses the same frequency..so u can play strobist with canon/nikon/panasonic (all those who uses universal hotshoe) friends.. |

QUOTE(Newbieeeeee @ Dec 26 2010, 12:04 PM) Oh yaa. Those higher ends one use local AF.. Mine cheap one ma.. Have to go to Fn > AF poinnts > Press v 2 times > Select AF point > Press shutter. By that time subject also gone already. Hahaha recomposing also takes time LAH!If u can train ur hand/eye for re-composing than setting the AF point won't be much of a problem! Use Local AF lah ALL THE TIME Just by pressing the center button than it's the center AF! KAN? Train ur right thumb to stick to the AF dial.. |

^yes u can change it.just push the dial button and focus (S1) before u shoot (S2)
The focus point will be red flashing, it locks at the focus point if u push the right dial arrow That's why I say u must practice.. |

QUOTE(ieR @ Dec 27 2010, 10:30 PM) codyx: when u read review on the tamron1750, most website is using nikon or the canon version which their camera required motorized lens. hence the Conventional motor is noisy. on sony, we have body motor driven, so the sound is SAME across all any A mount lenses. becareful when u read review, most review are not base on lenses for A mount which alpha has slightly diff approach. non VC 1750 on canon and nikon faces a lot handshake issue even with high iso on lowlight compare to sony with SSS. |

QUOTE(Newbieeeeee @ Dec 28 2010, 09:03 AM) This iz true mang. You buy everything, you end up losing. dont say you know a55 before owning it, yes, you might know. But what do you mean? Put it to auto mode and smap? That one i also know ma... trust me. until now i still havent mastered my manual yet. I've owned my cam for 10mnths. Seriously, i suggest you to get a55+kitlens, f42 since you want flash so much, any tripod, a proper camera bag, rechargable batteries, extra cam batteries.out of budget? What to do.. You wanted so many stuff. wah u come to me lah. we'll learn together, i think can (at least) master the manual (not including exposure lah) in like 2 months hehehe.. the key is practise and ask for opinion from others..QUOTE(ahtiven @ Dec 28 2010, 09:59 AM) you probably would not know what kind of photog you are yourself until you really experiment with all types of shooting most if not, listed above. and that takes time. a few months at least. most of us here are not even professionals so why do we limit ourselves to certain type of shooting? e.g. macro shooting? unless you are certain photog celebrity well known for particular shooting (Brian Smith for his portraiture works), you dont have to limit yourself to certain type of shooting. well, that might be subjective to some. Codyx, if you have the dough, i would say go add them lens into your drybox. the most important thing to learn photography is passion. the second most important you need is yes, you guessed it right, The Gear. there's no debate to this. for an example, if Joe has been wanting to play with fisheye, without a proper fishlens how the heck does he learn/play with fisheye style shooting? just my 2 cents. |

^ yup i second them..
buying kitlens replacement is better.. 1855 is good enuff.. for the range then u can simply go fo 18-200 or u can opt for the CZ 1680 |
