if my a300 repair fees are cheap then no a55 lor  laugh.gif
shooting flowers yes confirm no problem. but if you wanna shoot moving bugs, or still bugs for that matter...its very hard to hunt for them considering how far you to stand..

dragonflies are possible though.
*
i always use local AF and then pin-point it to the bug

that one he beli for his friend one la.  tongue.gif

yes you can use local AF but we are talking at the range of 400mm now ma. the MFD must be like 3 metres or more!
*
hmmm...do you think it's possible to handheld at 300-500mm?? won't the tiniest hand shake affects the output drastically?

evilhomura89: i got it for RM1.6k. hope it's gonna serve me for a long time to come. but my bloody @#$~!@ fren molested my a33 and turned the focus ring, WHILE IT WAS STILL IN "AF"!!!! luckily i saw it. thank god everything is still functioning properly. "touch wood"

did i mention that the lens is bloody heavy?? i think it weighs more than the body and kit lens combined.  sweat.gif
*
don't worry
it should be able to resist some mishandling
but if done too frequently will result in a malfunctioning AF mechanism

Even full also can go as long as you bring your gear. If it is Nex or SLT workshop, you can still go with yr A580 or the like. I quote from Sony trainer today.  tongue.gif
Workshop is useful at least for me lah. Sometimes you need to unlearnt, to learn new things.  Interesting or not, just go if you have time.

really?
then i might go for the up-close floral in lake garden next week

sifus,i need to ask..
is it worth for me to buy a100 with speedlight including speed light for rm 700. and i can pay installment from my friend.. comment please.. huhu
*
if you're really limited by budget n wants to enter the world of photography, rm700 for a body+kit lens+external flash is not bad i would say.
not to mention that a100 is a good body when it was released, might be a bit old but still able to take nice pictures

went to north selangor (exit bkt tagar on the North-South Expressway) today for work
the palm oil plantation area is quite good for birding
saw a few species including kingfisher and a big heron

in fact, kuala selangor nature park (mangrove forest) is also a good spot for birding
i've seen ppl carrying their gigantic 500mm lens to those places

Exposure 25s
Aperture f/18.0

My a55 got LOTS OF NOISE for the Electronic viewfinder...but it won't affect picture....any clarify?
*
it's normal cause the EVF have to increase the sensitivity to make it show on your screen/EVF thus the noise

quite difficult to see s580 is the market. Most sony style shop is flooded with slt a55 and a550.
*
well, for sonystyle, probably they're trying to sell off the old a550 stock
for smaller shop, usually they don't keep stock n mostly order when customers want it thus a580 is more common in those shops

Hmmm.. should be working i guess..

only parts i know malfunctioning is the pop up flash and the syncing with the external flash.

oh well, hopefully my camera can become brand new again. =/ although the slightly dirty sensor can't be helped much.
*
seems like a good time to upgrade isn't it?
CNY around the corner, if can sell to get some extra moolah then a55 is like a dream come true
