85mm f2.8 or sp90 or 50mm f1.8 or 35mm f1.8??

Usually for me lar.. 50mm on crop sensor can give me up to the waist level, provided I have enough space behind. 35mm gives you slightly more space in terms of framing, can probably
go for full body shot and can fit maybe 2 persons in tighter shooting spaces.

So key difference, yeah. It's more on the framing preferences in tight spaces.

if just strictly portrait....the 50mm f1.8 does a good job.... laugh.gif but it might be a bit tight if you do not have enough space...

Which focal length does your cousin shoot with the most? The 85mm and 90mm is a choice of whether your cousin wanna do macro also. The 50mm and 35mm is a matter of preference really. So ask your cousin which focal length he/she prefers.

If you're on a budget, 50f18. otherwise, 50f14.

honestly i feel 50F1.8 is enough if u use A550...i tried 50F1.4 too...but feel that image quality, sharpness, bokehness is about the same..not worth for 1k difference in term of money..

Sony F1.4 has better sharpness at wide open than the F1.8 and the ability to use on FF camera.

The Sony F1.8 has better macro capability and shorter Minimum Focus Distance
