If one subscribe to whatever speed for his/her internet connectivity and pay a monthly fee of certain amount of money, download and upload 24/7; You call it abuse? Even if the agreement has some sort of quota for bandwidth or timeline of usage and you max it out, you still can't call that abusing.

If one pay a certain amount of money to subscribe for an unlimited phone calls package and use it 24/7 even during bathing, cooking, shitting, sleeping and driving time, you call it abuse? Even if the agreement states some sort of talk time quota and you max it out, you still can't call that abusing.

I personally do not think so anyone could categories this as "abuse".

Say if business Unifi subcriber downloads and uploads maxing out their bandwidth 24/7, can you call that as abusing and then throttle their speed?

VIP subscribers are using their bandwidth so much now because there isn't a official announcement on bandwidth cap or throttling. They can't be called as "Bandwidth Abuser" because they were not asked not to use such amount of bandwidth therefore it is not an action of "to use wrongly", improperly or misuse.

If a SOHO/Remote user subscribe to Business Unifi plan and download/update eg. databases, backing files to servers and stream legally purchased HD media from the cloud hitting up to 10TB a month, shall you call him a bandwidth hogger or abuser?

It is not my job to control my internet usage, it is the ISP's job to provide what I sign up for. If a package states I can only use a certain amount of data transfer in a period of time, then so be it because I sign the agreement when subscribing to the service.

It is the ISP's job too to provide users with a fair agreement in conjunction with the service they are providing. Consumer rights are not really enforced in Malaysia therefore service providers are abusing their power to do everything to shut us all up/brain wash us.

Even for Streamyx package, is there an official announcement by the ISP stating that P2P throttling is being enforced if/before/after/at all certain amount of bandwidth is used?

Microsoft Groove uses P2P Technology as stated here. So if ISP blocks/throttle P2P then legitimate users will be facing very bad productivity and experience.

1. Using company's internet facility to send/receive unauthorized information externally/internally.
2. Downloading/Uploading data using company's internet facility without authorization is call abusing.

In this context of the usage of the word "abusing" bandwidth can't be used at all.

If an ISP wants to make sure there is no/less congestion and down time on it's network, they should hire network engineers that is knowledgeable enough to handle traffic flow problems and also make plans on upgrading network devices and capacity in order to cater for more subscribers. Not by brain washing subscribers with words like bandwitdh abuser/hoggers and limit or throttle their bandwidth unless stated in the agreement otherwise.

A 4Mbit Streamyx subscriber can hit a max of 1.2359619140625TB if download only at max speed 24/7 non stop.

Say I pay for Netflix and I stream legally whatever HD movies 24/7, you calling me abuser/heavy downloader even if Netflix doesn't make noise with the all movies that I stream?

Grow up Malaysians, Netflix did not even complaint when I stream their movies 24/7 non stop. ISP complains?

So you are saying if someone pay for porn, he/she can download 24/7 and you people won't call him/her as bandwidth hogger/abuser?

For some people, they can watch porn and it is not illegal, but for some, it is illegal to watch porn because of religion.

When you subscribe to for example, DiGi Family Line; did DiGi tells you that you can't talk certain topics with your family or friends because Main line and Sup line is free of charged?

Don't make stupid assumptions that if there are no illegal downloader problem will be solved.

I might be a home user but I have my own online business with my own computer as a web server. If my site is famous enough, I will be uploading and downloads TBs of data monthly ok.
