That's all I can say. If you are not a heavy torrent user , just a regular youtube kaki , facebook , etc..trust me , you'll be happy to know that this should in return be beneficial to all !
If you only used the Internet for facebook or even youtube, why would you even bother to get UniFi? I couldn't justify paying RM149/month for simple services like that.

I have a VIP5 account & my bandwidth usage is about 800GB/month (upload & download) - I do download some torrents, but not many - my UniFi is connected to 4 computers (& mobile phones running WiFi and PSP I presume) & 2 of those computers are running analysis software as I do a lot of work from home. We have the VIP10 Business package in the office and I am interacting with that quite a lot.

TM can introduce capping it if wants but someone should sue them for false advertising if they do.
A 5Mbps package can suck up the 60GB cap in just over 1 day, so TM should be advertising their VIP5 package as:

"5Mbps (for 1 day per month - please turn your modem off for the rest of the month)"

That's why I said 'someone' and not 'I'! :-)

Definitely some publicity should be generated - far too many companies get away with what is essentially false advertising.

There is no free lunch in this world. If I go to cinema to watch 1 movie per month, I only need to buy 1 ticket. If I go to cinema everyday to watch 1 movie, I will need to buy 30 tickets.
Where is the free lunch? Last time I looked, TM was advertising 5 MBps for RM149 per month. I pay my RM149 per month so is it fair that if I use the line at that speed, I will have no more volume left after 1 or 2 days into the month?

This is TM having a free lunch - when they start advertising the cap in as bold a writing as the speed & the price then I will stop saying it is unfair. And while fairness comes into account, the government should open up the last mile to competition so other providers can offer cap-free packages.
