@evilpuppy
thanks for the useful info but i have questions regarding Touch Xplorer.
1) Is it legal to install?
2) Will it affect future WP7 updates?
3) Will the warranty void after installation?
thanks smile.gif

well, i owned a HD7 so i cant speak for mozart and trophy owner. as for the camera part in HD7. i bought thumba photo editor from marketplace and it did helps me enhanced the photo quality of HD7. so i guess it's only mobile phone camera quality. if you need it better. extra software needed.

HD7 memory is sufficient and i guess same with mozart or trophy to anything.

bluetooth file transfer is not available yet. by the way. if you have email on ya phone. files transfer to email is another alternative.
*
if you notice, WP7 only allow Photo to be attached to email. No music or video.

Added on January 4, 2011, 12:47 pm2 bugs i discovered ever since i use HD7 (dont know about other barnd/model).

1: Receive call.
- Unable to slide up caller screen to tap "Answer"
- Sometimes, the screen with "Answer" just pop up without having to slide up the caller screen. at the same time, "Answer" is grayed out.
Solution: Press "Power" to sleep then press "Power" again to unsleep before you can tap "Answer". kinda annoying but it only happen few times.

2. SMS received.
- Same like above. Unable to slide up Lock Screen.
Solution: Press "Power" to sleep then press "Power" again to unsleep before you can slide the Lock screen up.

Anyone experience this?

there is an option to just sync FB into existing contacts.

i dont have problem syncing my phone with outlook, msn & fb. it automatically link those 3 contacts into 1 (for a specific user).

Working day
8am (fully charged)
8pm (half or more depending on usage)

2am (charge b4 sleep)

Weekend
can last up to 2days. i dont play games or surf the web. maybe on my Wifi. thats all.

@monsh

i use HD7. i dont get many mails on weekend. i remember that i fully charge my phone on saturday (10am) morning. did some surfing via web & auto-download emails. i didn't charge until monday morning when my battery went low. i have to shop for a spare charger somewhere around my office during lunch time.

when i got my phone from maxis (1.5GB package), i try to limit the usage (1st month) to see what is my download like. i use my home's wifi when i'm at home. when my first month maxis bill came, i only used up 200MB. right now, i dont bother switching on my wifi unless i download apps.

i gotta feeling that NoDo update do not include Custom Ringtones. i dont see it in MS's WP7 updates.

seriously, if NoDo do not include Custom Ringtones, i might choose to Unlock the device instead of updating.

as for the Alarm clock hang/freeze, i've disabled it. my solution? i bought a snooze alarm clock cost about RM40. that solve my problem smile.gif

NoDo update is available for Maxis user. just updated mine. it took me 1 hour.

*Note: Step 8 take the longest without % indicator from Zune. check your phone's screen, a white bar indicator is moving slowly like a snail.

my comments after 12 days of using WP7 (NoDo)

Pros
1: NoDo didn't kill my ChevronWP7

2: alarms bug fixed

3: no more incoming call screen freeze

4: performance improved slightly

Cons
1: No Custom Ringtones ---> to be available on Mango update

2: Smart dialing feature

3: SMS. you can only text to 1 number (MOBILE). no option available to select other numbers (ie: OTHER or WORK)

i got to SMS to another number.

normally, i tap on TO field to key-in contact. but the work around is by using the (+) button (top right) to select user then number (Mobile, Work etc).

the one that caught my attention is that ur saying skype free calls to the one inside the People Hub ?

as far as im concerned, skype free calls only to those who uses skype .
without skype, u can call but have to buy skype credit .

anyway, im hoping it'll be earlier since the market for wp7 is dropping .
devices become darn cheap already >.<"

but i dun think it'll be next year cause they promised by this year right .
they just didnt mention whether middle or end of year >.<"
*
MS did mention by fall (which is Sep onwards). My guess is, earliest - November. Latest February 2012.

i doubt MS will delay further unless something is wrong with Mango development.
