There is nothing to upset with if you already have DAC even if it's lower performance than this and cost much expensive.

Don worry about that definely way much better than Xonar U1. I own U1 and pcm2704.
And this dac is better than the basic pcm2704. So for sure it's a major upgrade for your C3.
