Yaaaay, it's here!! My unit has finally arrived.  rclxm9.gif

First thing I noticed is the high end detail, really really a step above the onboard soundcard of my Dell Vostro. Cymbals sound crisper, they sound more like cymbals now instead of sounding like metal splashing, more energetic but not that fatiguing to listen to.

Bass becomes tighter and more real. It's not flabby as my on-board's. Vocals also sound good, the intimacy is fantastic(according to the recording), female vocals especially. When the singer hits the high notes....wow. In short, compared to the on-board sound-card of a Dell Vostro, fantastic. Strumming of acoustic guitars sound better too.
All these are straight from Foobar2000 to the DAC and to my PL50. Have yet to try Asio4all driver.

A really great sounding product, I'm really satisfied and really glad I invested in it.  thumbup.gif

I'd write my own review, but then it would be exactly the same as above.

I first listened through my onboard sound. The USB Dac is miles and miles ahead, seriously no comparison. Next I compared it to an SB Audigy soundcard , more detailed, punchier bass, I'd say a ~30% improvement.

My setup is a Grado SR-60i and Pcwork's recabled KSC-75.

Overall I'm really impressed with the unit. Unfortunately I don't have any other standalone external DACs to compare it with (yet).
