QUOTE(edwardng @ Feb 18 2011, 10:17 PM) Still confused 1.Can this DAC use for usb speaker/headphone? If Possible, do i need converter? Can I use this DAC with isolated usb power???? By usb speaker, is it a usb powered speaker (i.e. a speaker with 3.5mm jack) or a speaker that connects to the pc with a usb cable ONLY?

As far as I know, it'll need some mod. Cutting some cable here and there etc. With what I've in mind, it'll lose the usb only connection function. There may be some other way though. Let's hope that chchyong89 have a different answer. (He responded to your question at his other topic btw.)

QUOTE(loonsave @ Mar 6 2011, 10:50 PM) Another stupid question to ask, possible to pair up this DAC to Logitech Z-640? Usable, but you won't get real 5.1 sound unless used with 5.1 source and sound card. Anyway, the Z-640 have what it called the matrix button for 5.1 sound simulation. Just connect the green 3.5mm jack to the DAC and enjoy.

QUOTE(loonsave @ Mar 7 2011, 09:30 AM) So i can connect the center only, without the front and rear speakers? The green one is for front speakers, black is for the rear, orange for center. Btw, here's a direct quote from Z-640 manual. QUOTE 2-channel sound card: Connect the green plug from the audio input cable to the “line out” jack on your sound card. To enable sound from the center channel speaker, depress the Matrix button on the center speaker. With a 2-channel sound card, you will not hear sound from the rear speakers. Here's the link to the manual that I found.
