FusionTechSupply,

I bought the player and was just wondering if the audio output is naturally quite low (have to turn amp up to at least half) when playing. Is that normal?

Hi..

Hi...

Thank you for puchasing Egreat R6B.

Maybe you can try out this ways:

1. Go to Setting, Audio, then at Night Mode, select Comfort.
2. Press the Volume Up. The max volume is 31. Set it as high as possible.

This way should amplify the sound louder, hence you do not need to turn your amp volume to half.

Hope it helps.

I tried the above but the player just allows me to choose comfort, off or on. It does not allow me to do anything with the volume. I also noticed that the player tends to hang after playing it for more than 4 hours (2 movies consecutively). Another question I have is that when I switch off the player, the hdd sounds as if the power is suddenly cut off. I tried using the eject function but found that it does not work for some external HDD. Will switiching off damage the HDD? Is there any way of ensuring that the HDD is not damaged? Would not want to loose all my movies smile.gif.

For adjusting the volume, you do not need to go to 'Setting' to do that.

While playing your movie, you just press Vol+ or Vol- to adjust the volume directly.

For your HDD when power off the unit, this is the sound of HDD stop spinning due to no power being output to your HDD. This is normal for all media player. So far I do not encounter HDD spoilt due to this on/off issue.

One way which you can do is try to go to Setting and press stop scanning your HDD in one of the options. You can find it there, off hand I cant give you the specific place. Then power off your unit.

About the player hang issue, I do not face this issue yet even I tried it playing whole day.

Hope it helps to solve your issues. smile.gif

Not only in Digital Mall,

Currently all stock almost being sold out....

New batch of stocks is coming by end of this week/early next week.

You may be able to find it at other malls....

Thanks for your prompt response. Will try your recommendations later. I suppose you mean the volume buttons on the remote right? I must have not noticed it on the remote smile.gif. Could you also let me know if it is possible to stop the movie preview window? I find that function a bit irritating as it actually plays through the entire movie. Also notice that the sound coming out from the composite inputs are not so crisp. Would the HDMI inputs be better for the amp? I currently do not have an amp that accepts HDMI inputs and will be buying one soon. Am hoping that the audio quality improves.

I noticed that if I leave the player idle for more than 15 mins, sometimes in between movies, with HDD is still connected, the player will hang. Will need to restart again.

Fusiontechsupply,

Anyway to get around this problem?

Hi,

I have a Egreat R6B and have recently connected it to a 7.1 A/V amp. Can you please advice if the R6B is capable of 7.1 DTS output as I seem to only be getting 5.1.

One of the sellers here say that the Realtek 1055 chip can output 7.1. How come the egreat one can't? Please note I am connecting via HDMI.
