Hi
Had just upgraded my Streamyx to Unifi this week - so far so good what quality/speed concerns however I am facing a problem that my wife's Korean VOIP Phone (LG070 - basically facilitating free calls to landlines/mobiles from and to Korea) does not work anymore. To make this work one must apparently open port 5060 in the Huawei BTU (opening it in the DIR-615 router only does not work).
Called Unifi customer service requesting them to give me username and password to access the BTU to open this port but they flatly denied to reveal this information, due to security reasons, company policy, needs management approval blablabla - the usual script.... Tried already with the telecomadmin/admintelecom user and password but cannot access. Anyone can help with username/password to access the Huawei HG655a BTU or any other way to open this port? Thanks!

May I know whether Unifi's Huawei Echolife HG655 only have 100mbps ethernet ports with a voip RJ-11 port.

From my udnerstanding, the one used by Singapore Nucleus Connect Wholesale which is the Huawei Echolife HG863 is the only ONU by Huawei which supports 4X GE 1gbps ethernet ports without a RJ-11 phone port.

Hi

Could you pls let us know the user name and password? One fellow member gave me root/admin but it also does not work and my LG070 VOIP Korean Phone still does not work, enabling the required ports 5060, 50000, 60000 and 10780 on the DIR-615 still does not work. Either these ports are blocked at the BTU unit or at TM side I guess; assumably they don't like Unifi users to use their infrastructure for free overseas calls.... thanks!

Check if your port is open using:

http://www.canyouseeme.org/

Check with your VOIP provider, they might not have upgraded their DB, and doesn't know that you IP address is from Malaysia. So they blocked you.

Seriously there is nothing much to set in the BTU. The internet and IPTV is under bridge mode. The only thing you can set is your VoIP authentication.

The default username & password is admin/admin. But you need to hard reset your BTU. But once you hard reset you need TM technician to reconfigure or replace the BTU.

After resetting the BTU you can connect your cable to LAN port 2. You need to configure a fixed IP in your LAN 192.168.1.X. Open browser 192.168.1.1 to configure the BTU.

They have changed the default password to others that you can't guess it easily.

You're wrong! CPE monitoring for the BTU is also setup. I was shocked to see this and disabled it naturally. I didn't sign up for remote monitoring rclxms.gif

their no point to remote monitoring ur BTU..coz all unifi user are on virtual lan (VLAN)..all dedicated virtual network..if u have a problem in your modem, acc,or connection..their remote the BTU 1st to check SNR and Port status also pinging from cabinet to BTU (home)..second troubleshoot to remote DLink also to find a problem..
this method use only when techician came home and cannot solve problem..then technician call HBC (unifi server center) to double check ur connection.

smile.gif i;m just leave open bcoz, easy to my technician remote troubleshoot all my unifi account.

hi everyone. sorry to bump an old topic here. i've been searching almost every forum on the internet for a solution but this is the only case i found that is similar to my situation. like the original poster above, i am also using a korea myLG070 IP phone and ever since I upgraded my home broadband to Unifi the phone just won't connect. it gives me an error code "SIP 303".

i'm not sure if this problem was ever resolved as the original poster did not reply further. some of you advised setting the IP of the phone to the DMZ of the DIR615 router. i tried but it didn't seem to make a difference. the phone is still not working.

here's a screenshot of how i setup the IP to the DMZ. not sure if i did it correctly.

any help is much appreciated. anybody else here able to use their IP phones with Unifi?

thanks!!
