I Choose:
1) Tongher @ 2.25 (16/12/2010). This is because this counter is on the mid-way of upward momenton. 2) Parkson @ 5.70 (16/12/2010). Retail biz is expose to billion of China's population. |

kpj faber myeg evergreen.. kpj and faber are healthcare companies..resilient especially in market like we are in now..myeg is malaysian government sole e-service provider..wont go wrong if u buy into it..as for evergreen..hold it for 3 months from now..as US dollar is weakening against malaysian dollar..its MDF price should be higher hence more profit..

I Just found out that the best stock for 2010 in KLSE is
SEG If purchase on 4 Jan 2010 at 0.28 you can sell it on 17 Aug 2010 at 2.90 You had made just short of 1000% SAPRES If you purchase on 4th Jan 2010 at 0.33 you can sell it on 8 Nov at 1.72 for a 420% profit. So it is not going to be the big name to super perform This post has been edited by rosdi1: Dec 30 2010, 02:33 PM |

QUOTE(Currylaksa @ Dec 17 2010, 08:46 AM) If that happen the country can save some money....Some of the ministers may be including PM himself will not receive the post pension if not elected again or replaced and all the new MPs on both side of the aisle also will not receive any pension if not elected again. U think that will happen, I say not, NTR might not have the gut to displease so many ppl. BRGDS |

(sorry for off-topic!) The rumor is that public perception of PKR has weakened recently, so BN would want to take advantage after CNY.
Back on topic, Maybulk may be worth a look. I used to like Notion Vtec, but HDD market is downhill and they just got sued. |

I'm expecting Mudajaya to recover 20-30% over the next year, so I'm keeping that as part of my portfolio from the present 3.8ish~

This country is very small, there is no stock like home depot, P&G , coca cola , mastercard , burberry list to go.. only few maybe suitable to own for very long term but definitely not forever. I am more toward value investing,I focus on value and treat a stock like a business. TA/ trader type (IMO) more focus on treating stock like commodity/inventory. TA or FA,it doesn't matter .As long as it works well for you right? Anyway thanks to answer me curiosity. Regarding 5 best stock list picked in Malaysia for long run,IMHO it is very limited amount and most of them are overvalued and famous. Most of the long term investor here are aiming almost the same list.So nothing new in the list... The only reason it is worth pick some small stock here is because of the CGT benefit that encourage more short term orientated. It is not surprise to see most of play short term here.A lot of stock is undervalued here, but at the same time due to poor corporate governance and information asymmetry punish most of the small caps and medium caps here too. Happy investing and congrats for your huge gain.I will start become inactive here (stock exchange) since there is really not much to discuss about. |

QUOTE(ThanatosSwiftfire @ Sep 27 2011, 10:47 AM) yok70 I'm holding alot of mudajya too. waiting for this month salary to sailang more into it's current price. >< I don't have any insider news regarding the new leader. Just read from OSK paper that they thought it's not a big deal. Lets hope it's really OK! But what's ur opinion on it's leadership change though? Personally i feel that.. generally leadership isn't that big a deal in a company that big, what more the dude is staying back as chairman.. |

Dear "hidden tiger crouching tiger sifu" (shouldn't it be "hidden dragon?
Looking at the date you purchased and the price paid ... and since the volume is not big ..... it's very very likely that you are among those who bought my "value trap" stock from me. You should thank me for the $ I lost to you, while I thank you for taking my place in the "trap" and setting me free Anyway, no hard feelings lah. Congrats on ur sp setia
I not yet take partial profit since veda says its a value trap & could be dead cat bounce or bear market rally Markets Update. Stocks Slide With Morgan Stanley Off 10%, But Dow Up For Week Stocks opened in negative territory Friday, stayed there all day and closed near their lows for the session. The Nasdaq shed 2.6%, the S&P 500 2.5% and the Dow Jones industrial average 2.2%. Unconfirmed data showed volume finished mixed, decreasing from Thursday's level on the Nasdaq, but increasing on the NYSE. Morgan Stanley (MS) fell hard, sliding 10% in big turnover. Analysts said investors are worried about Morgan Stanley's exposure to European banks. The nation's No. 2 investment bank has lost more than half its value since hitting a high in February. It's well below its 50-day and 200-day moving averages. For the week, the Nasdaq lost 2.7%, while the S&P 500 declined 0.4%. The Dow managed to gain ground, advancing 1.3%. For the third quarter, the S&P 500 shed 14%, the Nasdaq 13% and the Dow 12%. It was the worst quarter since 2008 for the S&P 500. In economic news Friday, the Chicago purchasing managers index unexpectedly rose to 60.4 for September, easily above views. The final figure for the Reuters/University of Michigan Consumer Sentiment Index was 59.4, above forecasts. Personal income dipped 0.1% and spending rose 0.2% in August. The income figure missed expectations, while spending matched views. On Monday, Wolverine World Wide (WWW) is among the companies expected to report quarterly earnings. The day's economic news will include fresh readings for auto sales, a key manufacturing index and construction spending. look at the bull bear ratio, 41% investment advisors is bearish my stand stil the same, sit back & let it 'auto cruise' to resistance level for exit. since I buy low & sell high of coz in meantime, there wil be fluctuations here & there, but overall, we can say sayonara to 1300 Jesse Livermore timeless advise withstands the test of time http://books.google.com.my/books?id=fvt8DU...epage&q&f=false That is about all I had learned, to study general conditions, to take a position and stick to it. I can wait without a twinge of impatience. I can see a setback without being shaken, knowing that it is only temporary. I have been short one hundred thousand shares and I have seen a big rally coming. I have figured, and figured correctly, that such a rally as I felt was inevitable, and even wholesome, would make a difference of one million dollars in my paper profits. And I nevertheless have stood pat and seen half my paper profit wiped out, without once considering the advisability of covering my shorts to put them out again on the rally, I knew that if I did, I might lose my position and with it the certainty of a big killing. It is the big swing that makes the big money for you. If I learned all this so slowly, it was because I learned by my mistakes, and some time always elapses between making a mistake and realizing it, and more time between realizing it and exactly determining it. QUOTE(yok70 @ Oct 23 2011, 09:43 PM) aisay, that hav to thank TA wan to know wat happens when it reaches there? actually, it wont be easy to reach there, coz many sellers waiting at those prices if I bought the below in goreng shopping list, then sure wait very long to break out mbsb still waiting above $1.80 sop still waiting above $4.8 ssteel still waiting above $2.8 tdm still waiting above $3.4 twsplant still waiting above $4.4 QUOTE(simonc @ Oct 23 2011, 07:09 PM) |

QUOTE(rosdi1 @ Dec 31 2011, 03:29 PM) Who says that you couldn't make huge money at KLSE?? U are right , most people like to compare CI this year vs last year to judge. These are the counters that more than double up your monies in 2011. But how many put so much money ( through asset allocations ) into these so called CI stocks ? My 3 pariah w hit 100% within a month, also not shown in the list .
